It's very clear that I won't be able to use my certificate to find a good job. This is because no company will be willing to tolerate my disability. What one keeps hearing are 'look inward', 'be your own boss' etc. But you should know that I have tried aspirations, inspirations, and perspiration before now.

As at today, I'm only willing to go out in the morning, find what to eat, and where to lay my head. So I told her to find another man, because I have lost the will to succeed. But she refused. It seems seeing me alive gives her some kind of energy, and she said that even if I have lost all hope, she will make money and take care of me. This is a very shameful, dangerous hope to hinge my existence upon.

Don't bother telling me about those things like fiverr or freelancing. The best I can offer her now is for me to stop being a burden to her, but she's hellbent on sticking to me.

I tried a job, and she said the job portrays her in bad light. So she asked me to stop it. If I'm nowhere to be found. I will have the freedom to do ANYTHING to earn the living. So I disappeared, and was working as a labourer somewhere. She tried very hard, and located me. I've not been able to unravel how she found me till now.

The fact that I've become her problem causes me headache. How does one help this gal?

Op, since she's hellbent on sticking with you that means she truly love you and there are certain values that she finds in you that goes beyond your disability.


What you need in this situation is genuine love and I see that she's ready to give you her love.

Most cases of Hearing loss can be managed with the aid of implants or even Hearing Aid. You should work towards that instead of sounding like you're writing a movie script. I know it's not easy but try.

I know you hate to feel vulnerable or pitied But leave her,let her stay if she wants to,don't try to push her away because even if you see her with another guy today you'll feel jealous....
So since she wants to stay,let her..
She believes so much in you more than you believe in yourself,she seeing way beyond your disability....

But can't you learn a skill?

You've someone who despite your 'shortcoming' still stick to you, and you're here thinking in your IMAGINATION that you're a burden to her.

And, this is someone who isn't complaining ooo. You ran away and she still went on your trail till she tracked you down, you're not only having Hearing Loss, you definitely have "Discerning Loss".

She's trying to be an encouragement to you so, you won't have Depression and all its vices yet, you still failed to see what she sees in you. It's disheartening and pathetic, Highly Pathetic.

That's your own angel, don't send her away.
There's a saying:
"A Friend in Need is a Friend Indeed".... A friend who step in while others fled is someone that must be held dearly.
She's not complaining(according to you yourself), and it's not like she doesn't sees 'better' guys in school and her neighbourhood, but, she just find you irresistible, don't resist her.

Being a student doesn't connote her being aimless and ambitionless, for her to be in the four walls of an academic settings shows she's trying to be 'someone' in the future.
She loves and cares for you, WHAT ELSE??
She isn't working! TELL ME SOMETHING MORE.

Anyway, this is my perogative, we can only advice you, the onus lies on you to decide which way you're steering your ship to.
