I hope this is not targeted at churches. Residents complaining should note that it will be bad if the church was already there and they decided to rent house or acquire land beside it. If church programmes, mosque and club are repugnant to you, don't live close to the them. My candid view. Meanwhile, what of power generator noise with its deadly and cancerous fumes? Government only places ban where they fine defaulters and make revenue.

"They just obtain permit to do so and failure to obtain permit attracts N500,000:00."

Is the government after the wellbeing of lagosians or simply looking for more ways to overload the burdens of the dwellers with a seeming moral excuse?

Am surprised reading this because I have a petition written to lasepa over two months now about the savages that call themselves Christ chosen church in baruwa. These animals have made it a daily activity during the day and night to organize very noisy programmes that deprive residents of their peace and rest. In fact the police was my first port of call but they declined jurisdiction after an earlier persuasion for them to abate on the noise level. We sincerely hope that lasepa will do their job this time.

Ambode abeg leave live band in the Bars alone. Nor be everyone get money to go Quilox.

Relaxing in the bar is the last hope of the common man after you lot in power would have oppressed their means of survival with harsh policies.

There is a reason why we have head-phones.
If you really need loud music get a sound proof or buy head phones but don't disturb your neighbours with your music

You people don't just get it. Relaxation isn't about sleeping under one giant ceiling fan and snoring (meanwhile your neighbors generators are doing worse than that speaker in that joint blazing your favorite musics under a cool environment with chilled drinks and Asun to the rescue) .Relaxation is also an act of being in a recreative state.

relaxation /riːlakˈseɪʃ(ə)n/
noun
1. the state of being free from tension and anxiety.

You definitely don't understand what he means. A lot of people relax at bars and listen to live bands. It's not noise, it's interesting music. The music flows with the alcohol. You ever been to King size? The governor should leave live bands outta this.

Don't mind them HYPOCRITES. Many of them understand the point but would rather assume the only way of relaxing is sleeping naked on a 4 by 12 mattress with that old ceiling fan cranking all over their head through a source of power from i-pass-my-neighbor with noise that could heal an already deaf ear.

I do not understand this one o. You are working hard to bring back night life like it was in the 70s, but you are banning live bands in bars and night clubs.
Secondly the recorded music and sound systems make as much noise if not more than the live bands. Why are those not banned?
As for sound proofing churches and turning down the noise levels generated in religious houses, I am all for it. In short it is long overdue.
right, life ban is not always as noisy as those recorded ones they blast from thier big speakers, they should look into it.

Hian!! Forget that thing Guy. Which neighbor? The one wey sleep nor gree come for? The one wey dey wish to go joint beside one swimming pool pouncing on a plate of roasted fish and mortuary-standard drinks with lively musics. Why do you think most people that do go to this places return home and few seconds on hitting the bed it's sound sleep all the way, meanwhile, the Iya Chichi who had been home several hours ago is still rocking herself to sleep after several showers. Don't ask me the proof or stats. Na naija we dey. Funny but that's the fact. Let's stop forming.

For fairness I agree with you. But in reality, Live bands in most bars don't really make that hell of a noise unlike Church or Mosque speakers. It's most times in a controlled environment.

They do alot.probably because your house isn't close to them. They should ask how live bands operates in other countries. In most cases you wouldn't hear the sound except you're very close to it.

Has it occurred to you that maybe there are no churches in his area that disturb him, so it didn't come to mind. For instance I have two mosques here that disturb me all day, however within there is no church within such short distance that disturb. Nobody is saying churches don't disturb, but you attacked him on very wrong basis.
