I like to laugh when people praise naija government in just weeks. Something they met at 217. Let's just sleep and wake up to hear it risen again like soaked garri.

Jonathan met it at 150 in case you've forgotten.

It's be good the police keep some of thier men on 1) all Lagos bridges 2) 2!niger bridge 3) jebba brige 4wink murtalla bridge and any other dsngerous bridges accross the nation as very many will attemp to take the last dive because of this story !
It's no magic when a government intentionally control the looting of the treasury and also see to waste on frivoulos items the exchange has to stabilize and that exactly what government is doing .
There is no need crying shortly rain will come down heavily So those crying of hunger will eat from thier farms if they has farm but if not so they shall starve to die all !!

Retailers are damn too greedy and there are no price control mechanism. It's a free control system allowed to find its balance. Too poor angry
wristbangle:

I am also excited about the news but have u checked the latest news that our reserve which fell a bit yesterday and oil price fell below $50 bench mark due to oil glut in the market? I am not an enemy of progress but I don't know what will happen in the next coming days but chairman of Apex bank said we should not panic yet. Google or check online newspaper for more information. Though u can read the links below FYI.

http://www.newsflashng.com/nigerias-external-reserves-drop-first-time-since-december/

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2017/03/22/oil-price-drops-50-first-time-since-opec-deal/

You are right if the sustainability continues but then we are too greedy in Nigeria. Yes traders will restock but will the price commensurate with the currency appreciation? Our price regulation policies in market is still poor as retailers want to enjoy exorbitant profit

Speculators and hoarders and looters --- how market? Your wealth has dwindled from 520 to less than 400/$ right in your selfish eyes.

CBN please keep driving the Naira towards 300. As long as Nigeria is selling Crude Oil, it is very sustainable, while our Foreign Reserve is also increasing gradually. Bad news to haters.

Who are the hater? Bad news to economic saboteurs rather.

It may not drop easily like that because of price stickiness called price sticky theory in economics meaning its easy for prices of goods and services to increase than to fall.

yeah u r right though but if dey can bring it down dey will surely drop

I think there's a name for this kind of strategy. where a new Government make things worse at first, and then makes it better.

so the dumb and gullible electorate start to sing their praises forgetting how the same government made them go through hell.

I'm damn sure there's a name for this strategy.

I don't think Nigerians will fall for this this time

I hope GREEDY/SADIST traders allow nigerians feel this positve development via their commodities!...
Imagine even GARRI seller blaming dollar rise for increase in price!

Yes, garri price will rise on dollar rise because after the garri seller has sold his good, he must use money made to buy rice, electronics and other imported goods. He needs to maintain his car whose spare parts prices have gone up from proceeds of his garri sales since he has no other means. He goes to the same market everyone else goes to. Therefore, if there is inflation in one sector of the market, he needs to increase the price of his own good to so that he can afford things from that sector and continue to survive. I believe you understand how it works now? Garri seller doesn't exist in isolation, his children eat indomie noodles too.

Who are the hater? Bad news to economic saboteurs rather. They are closer to the government. You always see them as lovers of Nigeria but in actual truth they are enemies. The cabals. Ask yourself why the story changed just in osnibanjo 40+ days as acting Presd.
