YonkijiSappo: 1. Can we now call Lagos State 'developed'? 2. Looking at Yaba or Alimosho, or any other LGAs as the size of Dubai, can you compare any with Dubai.. If no to 1 and 2 above, please don't mention again |

codedslayer: carefully read Deportation of Poor People: It is common knowledge that the beautification project of the Babatunde Fashola Administration has led to the deportation of hundreds of the jetsam and the flotsam from Lagos state to their states of origin. Ban on okada The elite and the media have been celebrating the ban on “Okada” from the major roads and the removal of traders and area boys from the streets. For understandable reasons, most of the hundreds of thousands of poor people who have been displaced and dislodged in the operation “keep Lagos clean” are of the Yoruba extraction. In fact, on April 9,2009, when the Lagos State government deported 129 beggars of Oyo state origin and dumped them at Molete in Ibadan the Alao Akala regime alleged that the action was aimed at sabotaging his government. Just last week, some beggars of Osun State origin were also deported by the Lagos State government and dumped at Osogbo. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/08/the-lagos-deportation-and-the-law-deportation-of-dissidents/ 6 Likes 1 Share |

codedslayer:Lagos is no man's land compare Anambra to other Yoruba states Yoruba, Egun youths clash in Lekki, burn 200 structures No fewer than 200 structures were burnt on Wednesday in Otodo Gbame, an Egun community in the Lekki Phase 1 area of Lagos State, during a clash between some Egun and Yoruba youths. PUNCH Metro learnt that the crisis started on Sunday, when the Yoruba youths demanded that the residents should relocate from the area. It was gathered that the Egun community insisted that residents would not leave their houses, tagging the youths as hoodlums and land grabbers. http://punchng.com/yoruba-egun-youths-clash-lekki-burn-200-structures/ 5 Likes 1 Share |

I am waiting for the day our foot bridge will use the electric rolling steps. You do not need to walk up and down. All you need to do is step on it and it will take you to the top. Same procedure downwards. |
