Oga hoarding is not advisable... The naira rise is a political card which the APC will not want to lose, they will continue defending the naira so they will have a face to contest elections in 2019...

If the dollar is going to gain then it will happen after d 2019 elections, can u hoard till then??

Read posts from earlier today. I think we've had a debate with good arguments from both sides as to what is going to happen to the parallel rate.

So, you'd probably have to weigh both for and against arguments and make a decision based on what YOU think would happen.

If you save in dollars, then there's absolutely no reason to sell off dollars. It's more stable than Naira and protects against inflation. However, if you simply buy dollars with spare cash so you can sell off when the rate is high, then you may want to reconsider your strategy and reduce exposure.

USD/NGN for parallel market be like Bitcoin now, na shocked shocked shocked everybody dey do.

But no, naira is not going back to N200. Or below N300 even. The folks at CBN are targeting N350 convergence rate. Parallel market is now 380. BDC is 360/370. CBN sold only $100m in forwards today (the lowest this month), body don dey tell them already.

So, all eyes on next week.

PS: CBN has devalued official rate from 305 to 308 this week (small but significant because the 305 rate has been stable for months). The CBN does not want an overvalued naira. That's what a N300/$1 signifies.
