ChrisKels: I asked u a simple question and u want to give me part 1 and part 2. Nobody else as ever scored 2 goals in the wc for Nigeria so it makes sense that Musa be remembered for that. |

Jefersoun: You may say Musa has stayed longer in the team. But ever since after the 2014 WC Shehu has made almost every match squad for the Super Eagles. 1 Like |

We share similar hope for Nacho and our rising stars.. do you know Kelechi Nwakali was the only African player tied to an African country who made it to the NxtGen Top 50 U-19 world talents won by Donnarumma with Mbappe in second and Pulisic in third? Nwakali was ranked 46th I think.. Look Sir GoodJoe.... I only hope this phase of preps doesn't take longer than usual.... Nacho is one of the central pieces of our rising new Super Eagles having the likeliest chance of becoming our next golden generation. TheGoodJoe: |

Chaaaiiiiii.... @bolded... Safari... well put jare... well put... Musa is not to he discarded entirely though... but definitely, we are looking at doing bugger things and realising our fullest potentials on the world stage... we are not settling for "just a brace" I like your forward thinking comment... safarigirl: |

Another player I would boot outta this team is Moses Simon. Too predictable, keeps doin same thing over and again, yet expecting a different result. He has been as poor as anything in our competitive matches. Time will tell Sha. I hope Onyekuru, Kalu, bazee are improvements on both Musa and Moses so that they get consigned to the bench or worse yet, left out entirely, since they have refused to grow. Plz I want Aluko back, I doubt he would have been as poor as iwobi was today behind the main striker. 1 Like |

It looks like Iwobi was quite poor.. Etebo, Ogu and Mdidi should start the next game. |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Joebie: 12:57am On Mar 24, 2017 |
As Siasia would say. Forwards should not be predictable. Simon is good, but we have to start thinking about beating the likes of Germany someday. We need to start building with that in view. I did not see any clips of the match besides Iheanacho's penalty goal. So I can't comment yet on this one. But owngoal said Success Isaac caused Senegal all kind of problems. I've always thought Success to be a good match up against Cameroon. We need physical and skillful players, not petit and soft players that Cameroon would characteristically pocket. I still think Success has great potential. The premier league may not be his thing. I've always said Iwobi will not fare well against Cameroon and teams that play like them. For the same reason above. I don't think he can really play the physical African game. I tow your line of thinking on the likes of ONyekuru, Bazee and Kalu, because for a while now the duo of Moses Simon and Musa have not been impressive (IMO) especially in Nigeria's colors. ChrisKels:cut Iwobi some slack, boy was just introduced to the hard tackling African style, he'll need a couple of ganes to adjust, but not so many we're drafting in Aluko for him. We have capable legs that can fill in where needed pending when he gets the hang of it |

Honestly Wilfred Ndidi should be a mainstay in the Super Eagles Midfield..... Lord!!!!!!! What a player he is..... Long ago, Sir TheGoodjoe said Ndidi may indeed be the true heir to Oliseh's long vacated throne.... and just hours back... Sir Tbaba1234 have uttered the same thing.... If I didn't know better... I would term him world class already but I feel I would be too froward... but give him time.... like within the next two years or so.... he will be referred to as a true world class midfield enforcer and operator.... This is what this new generation needs.... an avalanche of young dedicated players who will move from being "potential world class" to actual world class 1 Like |

I always had this bad feeling that he will not live up to expectation in Leicester. But should he prove me wrong next season I would be happy for him. Club career can sometimes affect your national career. I don't think he is finished.. But at the moment, we have better options. ChrisKels: |

I guess some people were not expecting us to come outta this game unscathed, reason was that the guys didn't come through the English youth system and they were selected outta nepotism or what they termed ARRANGEE. I haven't been seeing much of thier comments, I guess they have gone into hibernation waiting for any slip ups in order to pounce. Nigerians eh 3 Likes |

You are so right about Simon Moses' predictable style of playing.... I have watched both he and Kalu Smauel this season at Kaa Gent... and I gotta tell ya... Samuel Kalu is almost unplayable for Gent but simon can be benched... Kalu brings more to wingplay and got bags of tricks and turns of pace better than Simon.... Simon is still a good player but he got to up his game. As for our competitive matches ... I have to truthfully say he did score a wonderful freekick against Swaziland (under oliseh.... a game where Mikel was benched for Onobi.... chaaiiii... Super Eagles haff suffered) in the second round of WCQs that for us into this final group stage of qualification. He was also one of our beat that day shaa.... but overall... He has not overly convinced in the Super Eagles shirt.... just yet. ChrisKels: |

Thanks Sir Joebie........ And actually.... Ndidi have always been on my radar oooo.... it is just that I speak more of Nacho and Iwobi as these two always steal the headlines among our players on this thread for good or bad reasons... looolll.... people always talk about these two so you will see me then trying to balance views out... But not all remember that I gave Ndidi a nichname in our national team... here on this thread or the previous thread before this... it has been a while... Wilfred "The Rock" Ndidi...... So Ndidi have always been in my heart........ Joebie: |

Can I get a summary of the game? I understand it was 1-1 final score. We should be smashing a stranded Senegalese team like this. Am not impressed with the scoreline am seeing at all. |

I've been clamoring for Onazi's replacement in the SE midfield for some time now. It's our job to observe. No one is particularly right or wrong until it is proven on the pitch. So glad we have a new look midfield in Ogu and Ndidi. Mickael2: |

At presser Gernot Rohr said his asst coach Salisu has told him about @MFMFC_Lagos striker Stephen Odey, that the kid will get opportunity. But he has a lot of strikers on his hands at the moment - Iheanacho, Kayode, Success, etc. Odey's time will come. #NGASEN -@Jololade |

I remember arguing with you once when we had that Mikel talk, that he will make a good replacement, but anyways you prefer Mikel as a number 10, so this won't apply. For now that #10 position can be marshaled very well by Mikel or Etebo TheSuperNerd: |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Joebie: 1:35am On Mar 24, 2017 |
Odey is down the pecking order. Not saying he is not better than some of the strikers already in the Eagles. When he gets his chance he had better score a hart-trick.. lol tbaba1234: |
