This is how the brain of the normal Nigerian youth works...

If Sahara reporters investigated an opponent= investigative journalism

If it investigates someone from the same party as them = Destructive journalism

You need a brain transplant.

Hasn't Sahara reporters clearly shown that it's not on any side?

It's an attempt at investigative journalism only that often times, some of their reports are not always balanced and fair, which paints them destructive. They need tangible and reliable facts to back up some of their claims.

The question is: what is investigative journalism? Most investigative journalism often end up discovering something unpleasant which might lead to "destruction" of the personalities involved. So, you guys should chill.

Well said Bro. But I like the fact you used "often". However the situation maybe, part of the basic principles of journalism is truth and accuracy. Sometimes they fall short of accuracy.

Bro. It's part of the nature of the press o. Publicity means more cash and recognition. Therefore public attention is their desire and the only way to get this, is to attend to people in the spotlight. Writing reports and fighting for the interests of citizens that are not in the spotlight is no longer the concern for most media outfits.

SR have proved to be a "hit and miss" news source.

Sometimes, they get it right and bring proofs to support their claim. Other times, they make sweeping claims without proof to back them up.

Investigative journalism - 50%

Destructive/junk journalism - 50%
