lfleak: SQL is a programming language as well as a query language. Do some reading about database stored procedures & stored functions, there you'd see the programming aspects of SQL |

Re: 9 Most In-demand Programming Languages by arctodus(m): 8:00am On Mar 24, 2017 |
lfleak: Uncle, SQL is a programming language on its own. But it just not like other languages. Checkout stack overflow and see the statistics from their latest survey. If ure not well grounded in an idea an someone else puts it forward dont attack them... |
Re: 9 Most In-demand Programming Languages by bet9ja(m): 8:09am On Mar 24, 2017 |
Good tittle with unhealthy content. Why placing java ahead of C++ . When we all know that both java and C# are all products of C++ |
Re: 9 Most In-demand Programming Languages by lfleak: 8:24am On Mar 24, 2017 |
arctodus:Get me right dude! SQL is mainly and a core database query language... It only has some few features that are similar to the pattern of programming... |
Re: 9 Most In-demand Programming Languages by arctodus(m): 8:29am On Mar 24, 2017 |
lfleak: No need to argue. Go and beat stack overflow

Re: 9 Most In-demand Programming Languages by dabrake(m): 8:55am On Mar 24, 2017 |
I code JS and C#. Of course, SQL na default You shouldn't have added SQL to that list. SQL is data-centric and odd amongst others. Aside that, many people do not regard SQL. Maybe Oracle's PL-SQL, MS SQL Server/Sybase's T-SQL, PostgreSQL's PL-pgSQL and other RDBMS procedural equivalent. By the way, JavaScript != Java |

lfleak: There's "Language" in the acronym, and you're still asking whether it's a programming language? |
Re: 9 Most In-demand Programming Languages by simiolu1(m): 9:47am On Mar 24, 2017 |
I was expecting to see the report of just concluded StackOverflow survey but the op surprised me by redirecting to his blog. lfleak: dabrake: lfleak: Actually; SQL is technically a programming language and as of StackOverflow's 2017 survey results which were released this week, it is the second most popular programming language now. Part of this is because there is almost no software application that doesn't have a DB component. See attached picture for more details

daamazing: just say it is descriptive rather than procedural. some people consider descriptive languages to NOT be classified as programming languages but the general school of thought is that any instaruction to the computer is a programming language. |

simiolu1:Nobody is doubting it. SQL appears odd on that list. That's my point. Again, people do not regard SQL. Even Buhari, as dumb as he is, will master SQL in 6 hours. |
