I thank God, I cancel my FBNH buy order today, with this their notice, am going to wait for them at #2.70 junction.

@ Locodemy I have join your FCMB motor, waiting for their dividend.

I join Dangote group today, i.e Sugar and flour I know that they will deliver.

Oando, I join them today but still looking at them with one eyes

Eterna, as the gave 25k during their last year general meeting that took place on September, they might not give dividend this time, also it is always difficult to sell just 100k unit of their share, I think August will be a good time to join them.

Zenith by the end of this earning period I will sell 90 percent of my share and by Zenith share, the are good to go.
For FBNH sorry . what are you doing with dividend? for all the year they just use your money at end they gave 25kobo and you are happy, why the stock was at #2.90 letter end #3.15 by monday it may get to #3.40 or #3.35 and if you sell you get more than that 25kobo .

Sirs', God bless for this opinion. I asked some questions yesterday about CBN transparent policy in terms of FX policy but message was transformed as a mere opinion. I have so many concerns about this CBN...their defense of Naira is well understood but not justified when compared with what's at stake. We are going to loose more at the long run when electioneering period start approaching. As i said once again, so many scrupulous and detailed information about foreign exchange policy are still missing with both fiscal and monetary policy bodies in Nigeria. What happened if CBN has no $$$$ to supply to the market again

Question for everyone!!!

The bolded was the cause of our economic problem.
Now that they have some dollars to support the naira let them continue because it has always been like that. Hopefully when the economic recovery plans on ground begin to yield fruit, our dependence on oil will be minimal. With dangote refinery coming on board, there is hope for Nigeria.
The speculators may not win this time.
Nigeria 1 - 0 Speculators.

The octopus, I heard the dollar is now 380! Time to buy more.

Upon all the demand for eterna oil yesterday, only 281,000 units were traded.I dont like a stock that is too difficult to buy and also difficult to sell.
These are the reasons i have FBN in mind.Even at the bearish period, the stock can be sold.
NSE should just look into eterna oil free float difficiency to make it liquid for all.

Bro bull & bear........the bull is not for you o but for them them(players)

Bro let them continue to pretend like they are not aware CBN has been defending the Naira since time immemorial.

Even bigger economy like Russia, China, Israel support their currency from time to time by pumping. Na today day break for some people eye. cheesy grin

edit: Another positive in the recovery process worthy of mention, is that we're becoming rice sufficient. You don't need to be told how much pressure rice importation put in our FX

I fault your sense of reasoning. There is no country that has successfully defended its currency and won. For instance, russia, saudi arabia, venezuela, argentina tried it and failed woefully...Until CBN faces reality and do the needful, its just a matter of time before the trend reverses and speculators will continue to win grin

If what CBN is doing is similar to quantitative easing, then we are in for a revamp of our economy, only if properly managed. US did it successfully...

Question for everyone!!!
Just some salient points worth mentioning, CBN has been supplying Dangote refinery with forex, that refinery which is expected to come on stream next year is pivotal to reducing the demand for dollars, more than 60% of our forex expenditure is on importation of crude oil products-PMS specifically, Dangote refinery will effectively banish it as we wouldn't need to import anymore or reduce importation substantially, this will free up forex or other purposes. Now if the price of crude oil hover above $50 through out the year, which is above the budget benchmark ($48) CBN will have some dollars to intervene in the market at least to control the dollar surge in the parallel market until next year when Dangote refinery comes on stream. In between, the economy is already coming out of recession, FDI may just increase marginally. That's a strategy for CBN.

Taking all in all, while we hedge against the Naira consider the ifs, it may not stack up in our favour.

.....Russia still do periodic intervention in their currency market. All the country you listed with the exemption of Argentina are oil dependent. The were unable to continue because of crash in oil price. Where do you expect them to get FX when they dont export much outside oil. Now, they understand there is need to reduce dependency and diversify.

kindly check the email my registrar(cardinal) sent to me when i made similar enquiry from them below. You can not have same CHN using two brokers.Your cscs acct number and CHN must differ.pls check very very very well.If you have zenith bank shares in house A and zenith bank shares in house B.You must notify your registrar so that they will incorporate the two when paying you dividend.Pls kindly check the email and find it useful to solve your problem.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for the email.

Please, be informed that the account has been mandated, and any purchase of FCMB shares with the same Clearing House Number(CHN) would automatically reflect in the account initially created.

Also, the only reason why you would need to inform us of a new purchase is if you purchase your shares with another House, aside from the one we have initially.

If any dividend is declared this year it would be credited directly into your account, because there is a mandate in place.

Best Regards,
 l
