kindly check the email my registrar(cardinal) sent to me when i made similar enquiry from them below. You can not have same CHN using two brokers.Your cscs acct number and CHN must differ.pls check very very very well.If you have zenith bank shares in house A and zenith bank shares in house B.You must notify your registrar so that they will incorporate the two when paying you dividend.Pls kindly check the email and find it useful to solve your problem.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for the email.

Please, be informed that the account has been mandated, and any purchase of FCMB shares with the same Clearing House Number(CHN) would automatically reflect in the account initially created.

Also, the only reason why you would need to inform us of a new purchase is if you purchase your shares with another House, aside from the one we have initially.

If any dividend is declared this year it would be credited directly into your account, because there is a mandate in place.

Best Regards,
 l

thank u Loco for ur response however note that the CHN number is d same for the two accounts with different brokers though the CSCS account differs. from the response given by cardinal i ought to receive electronic payment because the CHN number is same however i would get through to the registrar because payment date was yday and am yet to receive any payment. thank you once again

I fault your sense of reasoning. There is no country that has successfully defended its currency and won. For instance, russia, saudi arabia, venezuela, argentina tried it and failed woefully...Until CBN faces reality and do the needful, its just a matter of time before the trend reverses and speculators will continue to win grin

You don't get it.
My point is that Nigeria has been defending the naira even when dollar was 150. Things turned this way because of the fall in oil price. If oil price remains above $50 and daily output up-to 2 million bpd, Nigeria will continue to defend the naira for a looooooooong time.
Also Nigeria is gradually becoming rice sufficient and importation of petrol may stop soon with dangote refinery.

But if you have been following the trend on oil price, you will know that that the deck price is very very shaky. Also, hostilities might resume in the Delta (though God forbid) IF the government fails to keep to its agreement and commitment. When you put the pieces together you will realise the stability of naira against dollar is still surrounded with much uncertainty as such, might be too early to start eulogizing the monetary authority. Also, don't forget our thirst for foreign goods and services is still on the high side and government is not leading by example by truly patronizing and investing in locally made goods (commodities, education, medical etc..forget the propaganda they tell you on the media) to make them competitive, up to standard and exportable...In short, the Naira appreciation is just a flash which will soon reverse.

Bro let them continue to pretend like they are not aware CBN has been defending the Naira since time immemorial.

Even bigger economy like Russia, China, Israel support their currency from time to time by pumping. Na today day break for some people eye. cheesy grin

edit: Another positive in the recovery process worthy of mention, is that we're becoming rice sufficient. You don't need to be told how much pressure rice importation put in our FX

Sir, your point is well noted. All the developed countries I know of don't defend their currency by pegging it. They intervened in their forex market when their reserves is questioned. Anyway, that's a topic for another day. And u think CBN is independent body in Nigeria in terms of their decision making. Let's wait and see if CBN will completely win this war in the next 2-3 months? Don't forget Dangote refinery is not our solution to forex market. Some people are busy loading $$$$ at the moment because they might be able to see what me and you don't see...lol. In all, all the best sir!

Serious sir, i'm sorry if my post seems unpatriotic. If someone is investing heavily in a country, i think that should be enough to be patriotic irrespective of his/her own opinion about certain issue. My opinion on CBN/Forex Market is that CBN reality doesn't match the expectations on ground. They are not transparent and the majority will suffer if everything boomerang. I'm praying for my dear country and i want this Nation to be prosperous and developed.
