diablos:Malnourished.... Last I checked, people are DYING of famine across Northern Nigeria. Our own drough, people are actually getting aid from the rainy parts of the country.Unlike Northern Nigeria. http://www.aljazeera.com/news/2016/12/nigeria-400000-children-risk-famine-161201161815578.html In fact, the UK's Guardian puts Nigeria's famine issue at par with South Sudan, Yemen and Syria https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2017/feb/22/how-to-donate-south-sudan-famine-somalia-yemen-nigeria-food-crises The largest humanitarian crises on the continent when it comes to hunger have happened in 3 countries. Ethiopia Somalia Nigeria Not Kenya. 80% of our people live in the well watered parts of the country. In Nigeria, half live in the Dry North.SMH!! |

arinzeejikonye:And all of them either 1.Deal with 1 product:Oil except for the Lagos Port 2.All Smaller than the port of Mombasa 3.Serve one country, Nigeria. Mombasa is now the second largest port on the continent after Durban. This was after the 2nd Container terminal was opened in the Port .The port handles a wide variety of goods aaaand It serves Kenya,Uganda, Rwanda,Burundi, Eastern DRC and South Sudan.a Highly Profitable port as all those countries pay a fee to use the Port. 2 Likes |

GERALD710:It is better to have Many Ports Scattered around the Country. Comparing kenya to nigeria is 'Foolish'. Kenya has only Nairobi the rest of the country is nothing to write home about. |

Shaytun:Ports that all largely deal with one product, Oil Nope. I even hardly call that a port, that is a Terminal Of the 'Ports" of Nigeria. The one and only true Port is Lagos, which, granted, handles a wide variety of products. Port Harncourt, I add it because although 70% of its prpduct is oil, it does handle 30% other goods. The others...Welll. That is the equivalent of Kenya also calling Malindi and Shimoni 'Ports'. We do not call Ports that handle one product 'Ports'.Nor does South Africa. Plus, the largest port in Africa, Lamu, is being built in Kenya 1 Like |

Shaytun: oh really, and where is the second largest port in the continent and the funny thing is kenya population is approximately 50 million, Nigeria 200 million why would they need more cities? when Lagos population is almost half of the entire kenyan population |

If northern nigeria suffers food shortages is due to boko haram insurgency hampering d route to supplies n not famine unlike ur barren, dusty godforsaken lands dat has been cursed by d 100 gods of african ancestry. U shitbags are terribly scary...i mean hw can a civilised human be drinking cow urine n cattle blood. U fuckin masais are d bile of d earth. The World’s Largest Single Turbine Geothermal Plant, Kenya’s Olkaria IV geothermal power plant The olkaria IV project is the fourth and largest in a series of geothermal power plants in Kenya’s Eastern Rift Valley. Kenya was the first African country to build and exploit geothermal energy sources. so far 636 MW of electricity comes from geothermal sources a potential of 10 000 MW of geothermal power has been developed. Most is owned by the Kenya Electricity Generating Co. (KenGen)—a company majority-owned by the Kenyan government that produces 80% of Kenya’s power—with the remainder owned by Ormat International subsidiary OrPower 4. Kenya plans to produce the bulk of its electricity from geothermal power. The Olkaria I Units 4 & 5 has also been awarded the “Clean Energy Project of the Year” while KenGen received the “Utility of the Year” Award during the Africa Utility Week in May 2015. potential for geothermal is huge, and Kenya is proudly now among the top 10 countries in geothermal energy production globally and leader in Africa the numerous geothermal plants are spread out in the middle of a wildlife reserve i have been here myself, very nice place. . The facility also contains a geothermal spa,the only one of its kind in africa the milky blue water in the pool is Brine, a solution of sodium chloride (salt) ,various minerals and hot water found naturally underground which turn the turbines that generate electricity wild animals also roam freely near the facility ,only herbivorous animals exist within the park 2 Likes |

nyangau123:Hehehe stop killing folks with those fab photos. They cant reconcile their mental image of kenya with the facts. Mental note : Add onto the stereotypes the image of a 'starving' kenyan, who somehow manage to win marathons incl the Lagos one. bad belle and modern life, they dont mix |

diablos:I think the bullcrap is yours. First of all.Learn Basic English!!!Because your illiteracy in the language is clear Last I checked, Northern Nigeria borders the Sahel, which is on the verge of becoming part of the Sahara. Northern Kenya is not!! You keep on denying facts even presented by AlJazeera and The Guardian We are not at risk of Desertification. The places that are already desert like the Chalbi, have always been and the Chaldbi is actually contracting, not expanding. So MILLIONS MALNOURISHED IN NIGERIA That will never ever change!! Eeerm CannibalsIn Kenyahat is a Nigerian ritual thing!!! |
