locodemy:80k total aint bad but I expected 1 naira plus total dividend from uba. Another man's biz? We the shareholders are d owners of d biz. It is not eating from another man's biz but eating from the sweat of our money which we invested by buying the shares. D moment u buy any stock u become a part time owner of the biz n anytin u get as dividend is proportionatelly the profit on yr investment. Like I said, we wud manage it but we expect this financial year dividend to be much higher. |

leo1234:Is not good to oppose people recommendation, without offering your own recommendation. That's why I asked "godlyguy " to at least give me up to three stock recommendation, but up till now no recommendation. As far as NSE is concern no body is perfect. With help of research many enter Zenith bank with hope of making at least 50 percent gain, but reverse was the case. I always carry out my personal research on stocks, but one cann't work alone in this our Stock business. You can be insider in one company, and outsider in so many, even as an insider remember market has a mind of its own. I always said that am watching Oando with one eyes, am not heavy on it, but its a desire of every companies to see their company grow. They might decide to surprise the market by extending their announcement up till this period and come up with something good, even if they are still in debt, they can not be there forever. But any failure on their side to surprise the market will land them to #2 this time, using FO as a case study. |

I went to prudential registrars for them to pay my 4 years outstanding dividend into my account and they told me to tell my broker or banker to send my signature to them. The problem is the branch i opend the bank account is far from me. Assuming i go to any branch nearest to me how will i explain to them to send my signature and they agree to send it? |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by rebekah2011(m): 5:50pm On Mar 25, 2017 |
2cato: Two things you can do Sir. Get to fill a transfer form with your broker who will take it to CSCS. Thereafter get it back from them after CSCS must have signed and stamped it. You can then take it to the Registrar OR You can enter into any branch of your bank and get a letter from them at a cost. It varies from bank to bank. You then take this to the Registrar |

The Naira recorded an appreciation of 12.36 per cent at the parallel market in the last one week. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the Naira traded at N440 last Monday while it closed at N390 to the dollar on Friday. In the week under review, experts commended the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for its intervention at the foreign exchange market, but appealed to the apex bank to eliminate the multiple rates in the market. As the Naira continues to appreciate, experts say it is necessary for the CBN to adjust applicable rates in different segments of the market in the overall interest of the economy. Alhaji Aminu Gwadabe, President, Association of Bureau De Change Operators of Nigeria (ABCON), said CBN-licenced BDCs incurred regulatory losses of N130 million in the week under review. Gwadabe said that the losses came from the CBN’s disparity in applicable exchange rates among players in the market. According to him, the public has refused to buy foreign exchange from BDCs . |
