Anyone in any of these schools: Georgia Southern University, Middle Tennessee State University and Florida Institute of Technology? I got admitted into these schools ( M.S Mechatronics, M.S Engineering Technology and M.S Electrical Engineering respectively) for Fall 2017 Term with out any information on funding. Only the Graduate Scholarship committee of FIT gave me a scholarship of $6000, which still doesn't cover the tuition fee.

Good day house. please. I applied for Msc to study Public Affairs in NMHU in New Mexico and I got the admission. My i20 was sent in January 10th 2017 and registration was scheduled to end on the 24th of same month so I deferred till fall in August 2017. The question now is, I had initially been denied a b1b2 visa two years ago and same last year August. However, my dad just became a citizen of the US. He resides in Philly, which is why I didn't apply to any school there. Please hope this won't affect my procuring of the visa coz I'm at cross roads and really need advice.

Furthermore, how do need to say to convince them based on the fact that I have been denied twice? Although, my reason for applying last year was just to attend a seminar and as well see him.
Thanks in anticipation for the responses.

Congrats on your visa. Would you mind posting your visa interview transcript for others to learn off your experience?

As for the ticket. I'm not sure which is best, but I'll buy a return ticket if I were you

All the best as you embark on your journey to TrumpEmpire

Exactly my thought. It's just for the sender to go to any cash & check place or grocery store that does WU, obtain, fill and submit the form and the cashier finishes the process within 2 mins or login to https://www.westernunion.com/us/en/home.html create an account and get it done in just a few clicks. I have used both methods before. The online method is more convenient because the sender can use debit card, credit card or bank account to pay directly to your Nigerian bank account or in person in naira/dollar.

Oh yeah..the online means too

I don't see where they set limit on the types of flight tickets. You need to buy the one cheaper for you. If you buy a two-way and you don't use the return ticket, after 1 yr, the return ticket would be forfeited. So why wasting money on a two-way if a one-way ticket is cheaper?

Hello house,

I have scrolled to the first page of this thread and also tracked back up to the Part 1 of this thread and I must say it's a whole lot in there.

For simplicity sake, please kindly share the clear out processes of starting an application for a Masters Degree in the US.

Kindly highlight the requirements (documents, resources and funance), timelines and other essentials.

Thanks

After the admission offer, did you wait at all before you start bombarding them with funding mail?

Sending you a pm

OGreene:
This week, have gotten admissions in University of Pittsburgh and Columbia University. Then Johns Hopkins Uni just now, conditional, was told to complete some online courses or in an accredited school.

No news on funding. But I will keep mailing them and keep believing that something will work out.

When i see people say, suggest schools, i assume you are just looking for an escape route and not really passionate about getting that masters. The school that works for A might not work for B because we all have different dreams and aspirations. What if someone gives you a school you cant afford or a school that cant give you funding? So get to work and search for schools that meet your dreams et al. To save you some stress start from this website http://graddecision.org/ to know the application process, So step 1) Decide on the course you want to study 2) Search for schools using a) www.google.com b)www.gradschools.com c)www.msinus.com d) www.usnews.com e) www.4icu.org . 3) check up the website of the schools you find to see the requirements. most schools will require GRE and some will require both gre and toefl, its good to do all this exam to at least have a chance at funding. 4) register for standardize exam and take it 5) Send your application and back it up with prayers. While checking schools, shortlist them according to cost of living in that city, opportunity for Funding, your research interest etc. funding depends on your GPA,LORS, SOP,GRE/TOEFL SCORE.. Cheers

A picker is someone who sometimes doesn't know he/she is in the middle of a scam and helps a scammer send money to his most preferred location. A picker can be a client who refused to pay, a client who has been exhausted, a client who is greedy and maybe collects percentage. Usually a picker doesn't know he is a picker until he gets caught.

come back here ooo, where are you fleeing too and fleeing from who . grin

See that plan of someone ready to pay your school fees, do you know how many people have been disappointed . Even Parents can run into hard time and disappoint .......how much more Uncle and Aunties...... them dey make promises but when reality reach to bring the money , story go enter ..(but u can understand why , to train someone in dollars is not easy )...... Forget about using f1 to run , e no easy like that (forget about that waka oo) . although i know you are not thinking about that

Fine WES might be expensive but you have a good GPA of 3.6 , settle down well and find a good school that has good funding . There are schools out there that give full ride for international and 3.6 is good. if it means u have to pay for WES or do SAT to give you a foot into funding that is better than getting admission with no funding and then when time to pay , story enter
lmao..
i understan wat u are saying & will try to do sat then. thanks

In the past yes it was allowed but it was changed maybe 5 years ago by CBN directive that all money paid out should be in naira if it in cash

If it paid in your dorm account yes you can still receive it in dollars

So No for now for cash payment

Hello
Please I was refused a B1/B2 visa in 2014 to attend a seminar in the US. Then time I was in my first year at the University and I did indicated it clearly that I am a University student. I only spent two years in school and then withdrew because I wasn't given my preferred course of study in the second year. I currently work in the family business and I have applied and accepted to study in a reputable school in the US. I am very confused honestly because what if the VO says why didn't I finish the course I was doing .
I am being completely honest with my situation. i am going to begin as a freshman in the university I got accepted into in the US.
I hope my situation isn't very complicated.

Based on your post, I'll suggest you focus on your final semester plus preparation for GRE for now because you really don't want to stuff your head up with distractions in your last UG hurdle and there are over a thousand and one schools with great offers; provided you portray a very good and competitive profile.

While you are at that, you can also use your free time surfing the internet in search of schools correlating to your program of interest, GRE/TOEFL study materials and possible funding opportunities. By the time you re done with your final semester, you would have gotten a handful of schools to select from.

smiley

Thank you so much. I appreciate your advice.

GboyegaD:

I would suggest you focus more on your final semester since applications for Fall 2018 does not start until much later in the year. As for schools, I would advice you raise your bar a bit and try to do excellently well in the GRE.
Best of luck in your final semester.
Sure, my final semester still remains my priority. Thanks for this invaluable advice. I will keep searching for schools while aiming for a stellar final year cgpa. Thank you once again. #fall2018.
