Well....... **scratches head** Let's see him prove himself for the CHAN Eagles firstly. Competition for places in the CHAN eagles will also be tough as he has Mfon Udoh, Odey Stephen and even Ismaila Gata to contend with. wink

9. Ibrahim Alhassan aka "Muazam" (21 years)- Striker - Akwa United

A former U-17 player with the 2013 set (although missed both the U-17 Afcon and World Cup after failing MRI scan) Muazam was the team's highest goal scorer in the qualifiers before the emergence of Isaac success coupled with his failing of the MRI scan at the U17 camp.

The former flying Eagle striker went on a couple of trials outside the country and has played for wikki tourist in the NPFl before settling with the Uyo based side and at 21 years of age, There's still time on his side to fulfill his potential as a goal poacher.

He was instrumental in Akwa United 3-1 win over plateau united in February, he scored a brace in the match as the Uyo side ended their visitor's unbeaten start to the season.
....

A very promising talent.
That I can attest to

I love this thread!

From this list I would sieve out the following players:
1. Ibrahim Alhassan aka Muazam
2. Ifeanyi Ifeanyi
3. and Etor Daniel

We have seem them and know what they are capable of. Good players but not much expected from them.

4. Obinna Nwobodo we have seen and also believe would be a national asset if he keeps working hard.

The younger ones are where my interest would fall on now. Who ever the next coach of the Flying Eagles would be, these boys deserve a look-in:

5. Nazifi Yahaya: In my opinion next big thing since after Victor Osimhen. He was the leading striker in the ill-fated 2017 U17 team. He jst came back from South Africa where he scored 4 goals in an invitational tourney.

6. Stephen Odey: Hot MFM striker. Already in the CHAN Eagles team. Though not eligible for the next U20 but would still be eligible for the next U23. He should give players like Victor Osimhen, and Orji Okonkwo a run for their money.

7. Elijah Akanni: Never seen him play but my eyes would be on him hence-forth.

8. Otun Fawaz: Seen him a couple of times with the 3SC team. Quite good and comfortable on the ball. Blessed with great skills. I would recommend this guy to the 2019 Flying Eagles coach.

9. Adebayo Waheed: MFM is known for parading youngsters in their squad and this is one of them. Our U20 handlers should be hanging around the MFM team.

10. Alhassan Ibrahim: A younger Alhassan Ibrahim. Never seen him play. But for him to have made the Kano Pillars squad even as a 17yrs old it means he is highly talented. Another player for the next U20 handlers to have a look-in.

I became interested when I saw that the look on their faces really showed they have not reduced thier age. They look so young.

Though some might have altered their age but I don't think there is too much gap.

The next thing to consider is their talents. That means I must watch them again in their present state for me to give a sound verdict on them.

After that, we should expect them to be shipped abroad after one or two seasons in the Npl, if truely they are good enough.

Any player that spends more than three years and is above 23 might likely not be fancied by a seriou club abroad.

Now, how can this players make the team ahead of the players trading in Chelsea, Man City, Arseral, Mainz, Liester City, Everton, Gent etc? grin

Good one coming from the NPFL. We have very good youngsters with the potential to be among the very best in the world, If only our league can be rebranded and made fully professional, with good database and exposure.

I'm sure many people will come and start questioning and doubting their ages, but will be quick to believe and admire the ages and potential of youngsters from other places - Gianluigi Donnarumma of Milan (17yrs), Paul Pogba (23), Harry kane (23), Romelu Lukaku, John Stones etc...

Let's discourage double standards as well as low self esteem but instead encourage and stop badmouthing our own...
Quit the bullshit. Some of these guys are way overage. You should not be encouraging age cheating. Now I give the NFF credit for the progress it has made in trying to stamp it out, but it still has a very long way to go to reducing it to the barest minimum.
Condemn age cheating and try to encourage the talented players that are of age, not this lame excuse of yours.

seems the op is digging dip into NPFL.. Thanks for bringing me closer to our league..I know NPFL will surely get there one day..

British media don't joke with their league..the publicity frenzy and over-hyping gets their players on world attention

..the likes of Michael Owen, Gareth Bale, wilshere , and thz new kid on the scene ( Dele Alli) and all

Assuming mbappe is an English prospect then you'll know pogba aren't worth 85 ..with their hyping the kid would be hottest property in Europe..

Op continue. Even if them no sabi ball control, abeg make we sef over-hype .

Continue the good work..

Despite the overhyping, they still flop massively in big tournaments.

How does arsenal being 39 stop them from getting beaten black and blue if they face chelsea in the champions league?
You must be an arsenal or liverpool fan. They are the only ones stuck on history because their club is shitt in the present.

U can only call it age cheating at Youth competition level. If a player is able to perform then they should be selected regardless of age. If a man is putting food on his families table by lying about his age that ishh is not my business. When they start trying to play for golden eaglets is when i go vex.

True..... smiley his slim tall build and style of play makes him more of a SS or false 9. Judging by his qualities I feel he can also play AMF.

But one thing is certain... the lad can finish and has good technical ability on the ball.

You might have a point, but that type of thinking will not erase this issue of age cheating. Some of these guys have gone through our youth teams. It's a shame they take up positions that we can easily fill up with proper scouting and no mago mago. They are damaging the chances of genuine young players of moving to Europe too. So it works both ways.

Unless u make age cheating a crime it can never be curved. This goes on in almost every country around the world. Change lies in the hands of the FG, they have to come up with better ways to document people. But still, age cheating as u call it has zero effect on young players moving to Europe. It is not possible to age cheat at the youth level with MRI and no one is stoping even a 15 yr old from playing in the NPFL. The fact is that up till lately they refused to join the league. Look how many players from Manu and Amunike's are still without clubs. If they decide to play there would be a spot for them this second. I can't remember a young talented player that had to sit on the bench. If they are better than the "old men" they will play.

1. Obinna Nwobodo (20 years)-Midfielder- Rangers Intl.

Many still wonder why a talent like his magnitude still doing in the local leagues. He was a major player in Rangers run to the NPFL title last season.

Nwobodo represented Nigeria at the CAF U-20 Championship 2015. He scored a vital goal in the semi-final against Ghana as the Nigerian team went on to win the championship. He suffered an injury during the final which subsequently ruled him out of the U-20 World cup later in 2015.

He contributed 7 goals and 10 assists to finish as arguably the best midfielder in the league in his first professional season in the top flight of Nigerian football. He was instumental to their eventual title triumph, providing half of the assists for Chisom Egbuchulam's 16 goals and ending Rangers' 32-year wait for a 7th league title.

On match-day 37 against Ikorodu United, he scored a goal of the season contender - having sighted the Ikorodu United goalkeeper off his line, he scored with a lofted chip shot from almost 40 yards out.

Good one Op.
