It's almost difficult to keep Real away when they identify their target. They're using their media machine, Marca, to peddle a propaganda in Spain. The useless tabloid yesterday wrote that Hazard has admitted to being open to a move to the Bernebau. Just today, it was Calderon coming out to say Hazard is worth the 100milla that is being quoted for him. Next move would see their ex-players and current stars encouraging Hazard to jump the ship and sail over to a league where he'll be grabbing goals in double figures, thereby, standing a chance of winning the Ballond'or. It's one galactico every summer and I'm afraid Hazard is the identified big name. If they can offer us Morata + 100m pounds, then I think we have to sell. That figure alone can get us one more striker, a CM and a CB. That's four good players for Eden. Conte can then switch over to his preferred 3-5-2 and get to do his thing in grand style. We'd even look stronger. Give me a minute. . . 3 Likes |

GeniusDavid: Conte can't improve a player who takes 1.5 seconds to trap the ball and turn. He is only an improvement on Matic physically, technically they are not mates. Our midfield will not have anyone that 'comes to the ball' if Kante and Bakayoko were to be the partnership. You always need the man that comes to the ball, assuming Kante will always seek to go the other way. Bakayoko is utterly incapable of coming to the ball or keeping the midfield flowing. I suggest we look for another person, or go with Chalobah. This dude doesn't cut it at all for me.

I asked for a minute. Now check this out: Courtois Van D. David Luiz Azpilicueta Moses Kante Cesc Matic Alonso Morata Lukaku It's very much the team that won the league this season, but with couple of quality additions. Van D would save us from the hands of Dr Cahill Hyde. The saints' captain is no doubt a rock. Costa and Hazard would be comfortably replaced with Lukaku and Morata, two ninjas who'd go on to forge a deadly partnership upfront. With Bakayoko, Pedro, Willian and Batshuayi, waiting on the bench, Conte could still decide to tweak his formation to accomodate three forwards or even more. We need this recruits to cope with the added demands of Champions League Football. 1 Like |

Ibime: Going forward? Matic is completely useless and don't bring me the Matic assist card, Matic on the ball is plain torture. His ball recovery skills, speed and quick initiation of attack are miles better compared to Matic. A game can't be used to judge him when he is partnering with Kante for the first time against a clinical and experienced Spanish midfield. Here is someone who was a thorn in the flesh of Spurs. That comment was before the start of this season, pretty much explains itself. |

GeniusDavid: I don't want to start another Matic debate but I don't know what you're watching. If Matic on the ball is torture, Bakayoko is suicide. If you don't know, Matic is the one who comes to receive the ball in Chelsea midfield. His passing has always been good, his receiving and protection of the ball also. Passing is recognised as his strength, within the midfield of course, not meaning he has the throughball vision. Bakayoko on the other hand is a fücking carcrash to watch on the ball that doesn't know the first basic of midfield ball control. A nigga who routinely gets dispossessed on the turn after receiving the ball.

Breaking News: Paulo Dybala and Lavessi were unused subs in Argentina's loss to Bolivia today, Pratto completed the 90mins. Raumdeuter's logic: Pratto is better than Dybala and Lavessi b'cos he was considered good enough to start by the manager ahead of the duo. Aristotle and his goons would be wondering what happened to logic. 2 Likes |

Look at this Bakayoko today. Passing atrocious. First goal, look at his passing to dash Spain the penalty. Second time he got the ball in 5 yards of space, he took 2 seconds to trap and turn with the berth of a trailer. He was dispossessed, Umtiti picked up the pieces and tried to run through and was dispossessed leading to 2nd goal. 2 touches of the ball later, Bakayoko received the ball on the left side of midfield, again took 2 seconds to trap and turn and play a lousy pass that the opposition nearly got to first. It was a routine ball that you expect the average midfielder to trap, turn and pass in 1 second with no danger whatsoever, yet he nearly turned it into a drama with his clumsiness. Basically, this is a guy not to be trusted with the ball with anyone within 5 yards of him or he might lose it on the half turn. He makes only 40 passes per game for Monaco, almost all of them by dropping to receive from the centre backs with no one within 20 yards of him. In other words, all 40 passes are in comfortable positions but as soon as he steps up 10 yards further up the pitch, he gets dispossessed easily. A midfielder receiving the ball from centre backs within 30 yards of his goal should be making 60-70 passes if you combine those centre backs passes with regular midfield passes. This is a ninja who makes very few passes in the thick of the midfield action because he knows he lacks the technique not to lose the ball there. Davidgenius abi GeniusDavid please mind your hyperbole and stop feeding us false info comparing this clown to Yaya. Chelsea is not Monaco. We play with calm midfield control, not ping-pong midfield like Monaco where they lose the ball every 5 seconds then win it back with jambody. This guy can't control his bladder, much less a midfield. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

This instant-replay technology of a thing fit cause riot for Russia 2018. You can imagine a scenario (like yesterday) when the Assistant referee didn't signal for offside, but some dude in a van outside the stadium advises the ref to disallow the goal after spotting the offside from the replays. 1 Like |

Like I said, Kante is a donkey, giving the ball away in the spain match, making offside passes...The 2nd spain goal I blame Kante WTF was he doing. There are many donkeys in soccer and Kante is just the current donkey in the spotlight...i will take Herrera and his father any day over a donkey. If it's all about running let them travel to Kenya, Marathoners everywhere there. |

hensben: Mikel had no problem technically, infact his ball control was excellent. His main problem was speed of his passes were too slow, his pressing was lacklustre, and his tendency to escort players running through on our goal. Bakayoko is more like Ramires with size. 2 Likes |

Was just watching the epl goals this morning and I was impressed on the way lukaku was moving the ball and his off the ball movement and passing. I think he has improved. But, I am still skeptical about his mental strength. In everything, if we eventually sign him, he should not become another pogba 1 Like |

GeniusDavid: 3 games plus YouTube videos. You don't need to watch 20 games to know a midfielder takes too long to trap and turn with the ball and has the turning circumference of a Dangote trailer. Yaya Toure indeed. Your opinion of his technique must be based on transfer rumours rather than actually watching him on the ball. You went to squawka to tell us he has 87% passing accuracy for those his basic passes where no one is around him. Matic has 88% accuracy, receiving the ball in much more congested areas of the pitch. For every 90 minutes played, Bakayoko makes 55 passes, Matic makes 63. Bakayoko makes bulk of his passes by dropping deep to collect from centrebacks with no one around him. Matic makes half of his passes in the thick of midfield with players around him. Watch any Bakayoko vs PSG (all touches) video on youtube and you will see what I am talking about. His number of passes in the actual midfield (not receiving off centrebacks) is very low. Yet you came telling us about Yaya Toure. What you should have said is that Baka is physically more robust, more speedy and can recover counterattacks much better than Matic. Don't ever compare his non-existent midfield technique to Matic, much less Yaya Toure. 1 Like |
