It's possible. But the kingpost of the first slope will have to be really low OR the kingpost of the second slope (main roof) will have to be really high to achieve the uniformity.

Yes. It's low. 3 metres will give an angle of 22.6 degrees which is quite small.

I subsequently commissioned a QS and I have a feeling he priced for softwood given what you state above. In addition, there is provision for Solignum and Kerosene (150 litres!) in the BofQ which makes me think that.

I really like the look of the stone coated products but my dilemma is that there are lots of new builds in the area - all looking expensive but sticking to Aluminum roofing sheets. If I'm the only one 'showing off' with stone-coated roofing, the 'night visitors' may regularly select my property, thinking "this one na biggie man", which I'm definitely not. Funny, I know. Anyone else has this dilemma?

Anyway, I'll be looking for roofing materials soon. Thanks for this thread.

The prices of QS are not per wood. check well.. it may be per metre.

Build your house to your own taste then have defence systems. You may contact Hajj @mufutau55 for that Magical broom. Buy Dogs. Hire Maiguard. Do the American fence etc..

I think we've established (based on your initial observation) that they are talking about meters, not pieces. And, it's good news that prices are falling.

Please how safe is the water collected from stone coated aluminum roofing tiles? Can you bath with it, cam you wash clothes or even cook with it?

2. Can you wash clothes with it? Rain water is hard water and does not form lather with soap. So it's a bit difficult to wash with it.

3. Cook with it? Drink it? Although some companies have approved WHO certified for drinking certificates but generally, it's not too safe to drink it because of the dye.
