YEAH.... One of the players based in China is one of their top midfield linchpins.... RENATO Augusto.... smiley

I saw the Uruguay 1-4 Brazil game.... Paulino shocked me oooo..... Imagine... Tottenham reject.... Just beautiful smiley

Also, I agree to an extent that Neymar is the most inform player right now in the world... but also C.Ronaldo is on fire.... 71international goals already (now in the top 10 of highest goalscorers of all time internationally and also sits just 13 behind puskas' record of 84 in Europe).

Ali Daei holds the world record with 109 (I think? abi na 106?) international goals.

BascoVanVeli:

Neymar is the best player on planet earth right now. Also Brasil used 4 player based in China with Paulinho scoring a hat trick against Uruguay in their last match.

That Paulo Dybala is another Bad-ass super talent. Argentines would sing his name more if Messi never existed.

Can u imagine that he wasn't even invited to copa America. I think it is lazy coaching, they feel because they have Messi they don't need him.

Without Messi, Argentina can't win at the moment.
but from what I heard they're good at home against other opponents

The Last they played Argentina, the whipped them 6-1 with Messi present

They're thousands of feet above sea level making their opponents not too familiar with that atmosphere

If only it was possible to "sign" players from national teams... mehn!!! na Dybala I go just go for... he and Nacho combo with Success and Iwobi will be unreal.... looollll..

But seriously speaking shaa... Argentina should give that guy more responsibility and not leave it all on messi alone...

With Messi: 6 games - 15 points.

Without Messi: 8 games - 7 points.

That shows how badly they play without him at the moment.

Looollll.... 109 ooooo My Oga... 109..... grin

Highest European is Puskas on 84.

Highest South American is Pele with 77 (minus his 18 goals scored in unofficial games for Brazil, it would have been 95).

Highest African is Chitalu of Zambia... with 71 goals.

The 109 guy called Ali Daei never scored a world cup goal but gave the assist for the winning goal that sank USA in France 98 for Iran's only ever World cup win. smiley

How he raked in those numbers is still astonishing though... but not so surprising when you play Laos, Chinese tapei, And The likes grin

looollll... not that straightforward.... I don't think Barca are ready "yet" to sell Sergi Roberto or have him playing second fiddle to Victor Moses.... he just sent Barca to the UCL quarters... so that deal is kinda on hold for now.

And yeah... Moses is the one keeping Aina out but Aina can still work his way through.... not by displacing Moses... but by being the first choice Backup to Moses In Conte's plans....

As time goes on... Aina may become a mainstay while Moses moves on to a much bigger club.... (coz Mehn... only few clubs big pass Chelsea ooo).

Well. however it happens... I know Aina will progress nicely and even now, Conte still gives him game time from time to time even though they come in fives, 10s and 15s of mins... smiley

Barcelona are in dire need of a RB. Aleix Vidal had already displace Roberto before he got injured, after that the formation had to be changed to a 3-4-3 to eliminate the RB from the system entirely. Barca will definelty buy a RB this summer, that one is a given

and the only game they lost with Messi was against Brazil. I have said it before, Aguero is overrated, don't get me started about Higuain. Di Maria is okay at times but in essence you only have Messi and Mascherano in that team, yet people think Messi is having it easy

the boy is a baller. He is better than Higuain at Juventus but somehow they will just bench him like that. Atleast the boy can push out Higuain and either he himself or Messi can play as the false 9, but poor coaches sha, me I tire for Argentina

With all the small boys in the Super Eagles, Mikel's experience is even more critical. Many players in the Super Eagles have not played professionally for up to 5 years. It is a very young team that would need leadership and guidance. Mikel, Onazi, Elderson, Balogun etc have to be leaders when times are tough.

I kinda think Even Ideye will be needed at some point... time will tell.

Higuain gets unnecessary hate imo. I mean, yes he's missed chances in finals, but so has messi. Aguero na the real mumu. Their coach is useless sha...keeps leaving out Icardi for pipes like Pratto or whatever his name is.

Nigerian winger, Nathan Tella, has confirmed that his transfer from Arsenal to Southampton is now in the bag, and has sent an emotional farewell message to the Gunners faithful and ex-teammates.

The 17-year-old decided to move on to pastures new after he was told by the Emirates outfit he won’t be offered a professional contract.

“After a great 10 years at Arsenal, sadly I have to move on to a new challenge. Thankyou everyone who has helped me over the past 10 years to make into the player I am,” Tella stated on Instagram.

“I will miss the boys and hope they all have a great career. However, I am delighted to sign with Southampton FC.

“Can’t wait to see what the future holds for me at this club. Thank you God for allowing me to achieve this goal, and also everyone who has supported me.”

Reading and Norwich City had explored the possibility of signing Tella before he agreed terms with The Saints.

Anichebe close to Sunderland return

Super Eagles striker Victor Anichebe would return just in time to help Sunderland in their fight against relegation from the Premier League.

Anichebe has been out of action since he sustained a knee injury in Sunderland’s 2-0 Premier League loss at West Brom on Saturday, January 21.

The Sunderland striker who was ruled out for 10 weeks after the injury has been in the United States working on his rehabilitation.

Ahead of their trip to Watford on Saturday, April 1, Sunderland manager David Moyes is hopeful of welcoming Anichebe for the relegation battle run in.

It’s a crucial month ahead for bottom Sunderland who face Watford, Leicester City, Manchester United, West Ham United, AFC Bournemouth and Middlesbrough in April.

“We hope that Victor could be back and maybe Catts,” Moyes is quoted to say by Sunderland Echo.

“I think Catts could get some training in but the one we’re really looking to see if we can get back is Victor.

“There are no guarantees but I know Victor’s doing a bit more running and hopefully getting closer."

Isaac Success Aims for World Cup Glory with Eagles

Watford striker Isaac Success is determined to help Nigeria qualify for the 2018 World Cup after making his senior debut for the Super Eagles.

The 21-year-old came on as a substitute on Thursday as Nigeria drew 1-1 with Senegal in a friendly in London.

“It was a dream come true for me. I thank God for being here representing my country,” he told BBC Sport.

“The energy is there, the mindset of bringing success to Nigeria and to Africa at the World Cup is there.”

He replaced Moses Simon on the hour mark of the match played at Barnet’s Stadium in north London to finally make his senior debut after missing several other call-ups due to injury.

“I am happy now, I am fit, I am very sharp now and looking forward to the opportunity again,” he added.

But he will have to wait for a second cap after Nigeria’s proposed friendly yesterday against Burkina Faso was cancelled after several of the Stallions players failed to get visas to enter the UK.

Success was part of the Nigeria squad that won the Under-17 World Cup in 2013 and is excited to be part of a new generation of players for the Super Eagles.

“These young boys, and I am one of them, they are really hungry to do something,” he said.

“We want to do something different, something the fans have not seen in a long time. Success is guaranteed because now they have Success in the team.”

Three-time African champions Nigeria failed to qualify for the last two editions of the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Super Eagles are currently top of their group for 2018 World Cup qualifying having won both their opening games so far and are ahead of Cameroon, Zambia and Algeria.
