]Cameroon's Africa Cup of Nations-winning coach Hugo Broos has threatened to quit over management and funding problems in the national team set-up. Broos, who led the team to the trophy in Gabon in February , said he is "seriously considering whether I should continue or not". He also said his players and staff have to work in "poor conditions" while Cameron Football Federation officials "sit in their chairs doing nothing". "I cannot accept this," he added. Broos made his comments in a news conference after a 2-1 defeat by Guinea in a friendly in Belgium on Tuesday, revealing the extent of the problems he has faced since his appointment in February 2016. Today I am saying that this is the last straw Hugo Broos "One year ago when I started working with Cameroon I met many problems. Despite all this we worked hard and reached a new level. But the working conditions are not professional," he said. "For example, when we had to go to South Africa last year we were forced to wait for more than two hours on a plane because some officials wanted to put more people than necessary on the plane. It is not fair to pay for other people's mistakes. "Also when we went to Nantes the doctor had to pay for some drugs and bandages with his own money for the first two days. He has yet to be refunded. "We travelled without training kit and equipment because it was too expensive to put it on the plane. "At mid-day before the match against Guinea, the players didn't have lunch because the hotel had not been paid. The bad performance against Guinea was a consequence of the poor preparations we had. "No food? Hotel not been paid? This is the national team. We want better conditions. "Today I am saying that this is the last straw." Cameroon's Football Federation (Fecafoot) said on its Twitter page that it would launch an inquiry into what led to the comments from Broos.http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39433851

Man City aim to maintain good position in EPL - Iheanacho [img]https://3.bp..com/-snTZQ9zONqI/WNtllmo_eMI/AAAAAAAADec/BZttFX4whwgo3EzoIPb7NWDT12FndgNrgCLcB/s1600/Kelechi-Iheanacho.jpg[/img] Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho has fired a warning to their English Premier League (EPL) rivals Arsenal ahead of their encounter on Sunday. The 20-year-old forward scored for Nigeria’s Super Eagles as they drew 1-1 with Senegal in an international friendly in London, England on Thursday night. Iheanacho has now turned his focus back to the EPL and he will be facing his Super Eagles teammate Alex Iwobi’s club Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. “We are going to go to the Emirates and fight. We need a win there. It’s a good team, so we need to fight hard to get threepoints, “ Iheanacho told City’s official website. “We are in a good situation. We played well against Liverpool and showed good character. “We defend well, we attack well, but unfortunately we couldn’t win,” the Nigeria youth and senior international continued. “We are in a good position (third place) in the Premier League, we keep fighting and focus on the next games.” Iheanacho has made 16 league appearances for City, who are coached by Pep Guardiola, this season – netting four goals in the process. www.soccernet.com.ng/2017/03/man-city-aim-to-maintain-good-position.html 1 Like |

Leon Balogun Qualities Thrills British Journalist – He Has Almost Everything You Need In A Defender The form of Super Eagles defender Leon Balogun during the Eagles’s training session and test game against Senegal has won him praises from a British journalist. Balogun was on for the entire duration of Nigeria’s 1-1 draw against Senegal in a friendly clash in London, and the Mainz 05 man put in a commendable shift despite his lack of game time at his Bundesliga team. ” He looks quite good on the ball, although rusty I must say. He obviously made up for it with his impeccable reading of the game. The way he moves, reads and intercept passes with ease is such a delight”, British journalist Mark Thompson told Owngoalnigeria.com. ” The way he wins aerial duels is something else and even his tackle success rate is also very impressive due to the fact that he is not the quickest. Age is not on his side but this man has all what it takes to play in the Premier League. ” Above all I love the way he organises his troops at the back. I watched the game against Senegal, he was on top of his voice ordering his troops round. He is a leader, even in training I noticed the same”. *Prince Michael owngoalnigeria.com/2017/03/29/leon-balogun-qualities-thrills-british-journalist-he-has-almost-everything-you-need-in-a-defender/ 2 Likes |

Ogu : I wish Alli, Alaba Played For Super Eagles Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu is confident the team will no longer lose players of Nigerian heritage to other national teams, Completesportsnigeria.com reports. Some high-profile players with Nigerian blood like Tottenham's Dele Alli (England) and Bayern Munich's David Alaba (Austria) opted for other national teams, a situation Ogu hopes will change soon. "Every weekend, I sit at home and watch Alaba or Dele Alli doing it big for other countries and not ours," Ogu tweeted on Wednesday. "We have the power to not allow such. "I'm happy because we have the power not to repeat losing our players to other nations. All the boys who were in camp always want to learn." There are a number of foreign-born Nigerian players now in the Super Eagles, including Leon Balogun, William Troost-Ekong and new boys Tyrone Ebuehi and Noah Bazee. Hapoel Be'er Sheva star Ogu, who played for the Eagles in Thursday's friendly against Senegal in London, is pleased to be in the squad with these players and the rest of the squad. "I had a great time in the super Eagles camp in London to be honest," Ogu, who recorded and posted a number of team-bonding videos online, added. "Ten days out with the coaching crew and staff was a great experience. "Then I met all the players and I was super happy at the talents I was in camp with .It is time to give credit to the president Amaju Pinnick. "We have the talents now, we have a president who has big plans for our football, we the coaches who care about our local league as well . "My heart was full of joy when our president @PinnickAmaju was addressing us about his plans for the national team now and for the future."www.completesportsnigeria.com/ogu-wish-alli-alaba-played-super-eagles/

How I got my breakthrough in football – Wilfred Ndidi By Ifreke Inyang on March 29, 2017 @dailypostngr Top Stories: Leicester City and Nigeria midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has recounted the moment that paved the way for a career in football for him. The Super Eagles star completed a £17 million move from Genk to Leicester City in January and has gone on to put up some fine displays in England. However, Ndidi says he could have easily been doing something else, after his father insisted he faced his books. He also revealed that he was the only one of 500 boys to be invited for a trial at Genk, which sent scouts to watch a Nigerian football tournament. “I didn’t score [to impress Genk], I was actually playing in central defence,” Ndidi told Goal. “I was told not to play long balls, so I just made a one-two and another one-two and then I gave a pass, made an assist. “It was important because we were an academy, we played a team from the Nigerian Premier League [and we were only an academy], 3SC Shooting Stars, who were winning 1-0. I gave that pass and it made it 1-1. “I was the only one selected out of 40 teams, 500 players. I had to go and do trials in Genk after that. Then I did the trials in Genk, After a year, they gave me a contract. “It was difficult [coming to Europe] but I stayed with a family who tried to make me feel like I was at home. It was the time of the trial. So when I came home every day I felt like part of the family, it felt like home and made it easier.”dailypost.ng/2017/03/29/got-breakthrough-football-wilfred-ndidi/ 2 Likes

TAMMY ABRAHAM: IS THE RECORD-BREAKING TEENAGER THE FUTURE OF CHELSEA? The striker impressed again on loan at Bristol City and looks certain to take his goals to Stamford Bridge in the years to come Antonio Conte doesn’t deal in hyperbole. Though the Italian has been a picture of fire and emotion on the sideline since his arrival at Chelsea last summer, in the press room he’s shown a completely different side. Uncombative, cool and measured, the Blues boss, with his improving English, has always given the sense he carefully considers every word before letting them leave his mouth. So it’s why it mattered when, in October, he delivered his assessment of young Blues striker Tammy Abraham: “He is the future for Chelsea, for sure." That was in October, and Abraham had just opened the season with 11 goals in his first 17 appearances on loan at Bristol City in the Championship. Five months on, that goal tally now stands at 22 after the 19-year-old’s impressive strike played a leading role in the Robins’ 4-0 thrashing of high-flying Huddersfield Town on Friday. Cutting across his marker just before half- time, Abraham met David Cotterill’s penetrating ball and tucked home a brilliant, first-time finish. It was another example of the remarkable prowess in the penalty area of a youngster who will see his FIFA 17 FUT rating on the rise. Selected as one of Goal’s 50 Rising Stars of FUT, Abraham is the hottest talent to have emerged from the latest youth crop produced by the Chelsea academy. Since joining the west London outfit in 2004, the striker has progressed through the ranks and enjoyed two sparkling seasons in front of goal in 2014-15 and 2015-16. With 74 goals in 98 games, Abraham powered Chelsea to consecutive FA Youth Cups and UEFA Youth League titles. But youth football is not a perfect platform and both Chelsea and Abraham knew it. After including him in the senior squad’s pre- season camps, the club sent the striker to Bristol City in August to get him both regular minutes and experience in dealing with the rigours of senior football. It's been a breakout season for the towering, athletic striker who reminds many of Didier Drogba. Abraham has become the first teenager ever to score 16 or more goals in a Championship season. His 19 league strikes have him third in the division’s scoring charts, and he’s added a further three in cup play. “There’s a massive difference [between youth football and senior football] because you’re coming up against players who are bigger, stronger and faster than you, so you have to try to find the weakness of your opponent and exploit that. It’s more about your mentality and looking after yourself,” he told Chelsea’s official website earlier this month. The evidence available suggests he’s doing exactly that. Conte has spoken of Abraham’s “great potential in the technical and physical aspects”, but even he must be surprised by the speed of the youngster’s emergence. When you’re 19, your goal tally in the league in your first senior season is not meant to match your age. But then, Abraham is not your typical 19-year-old. As Conte says, he’s the future of Chelsea. m.goal.com/s/en/news/8/main/2017/03/20/33836792/tammy-abraham-is-the-record-breaking-teenager-the-future-of?utm_referrer=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com.ng%2Fsearch%3Fq%3Dtammy%2Babraham%26client%3Dms-opera-mini-android%26channel%3Dnew%26prmd%3Divns%26source%3Duniv%26tbm%3Dnws%26tbo%3Du%26sa%3DX%26ved%3D0ahUKEwiXpsDmjvzSAhUBtBoKHT4zCscQqAIIJg 1 Like

The way things are unfolding makes me belief so: ....before we played Zambia, they had a coaching crisis ....before we played Algeria, another coaching crisis and a sudden change of the coach Now, we're about to play Cameroun and the same story seems to be developing again! ...This is all music to my ears sha O pari jotey: |

Lambert Unsure Of Ikeme Availability For Wolves Vs Cardiff Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Paul Lambert says the club is still keeping an eye on Nigerian goalkeeper Carl Ikeme's fitness ahead of their Championship game at home against Cardiff City on Saturday. Ikeme, 30, got injured prior to Nigeria's international friendly game against Senegal which ended 1-1 on Thursday. Commenting on Ikeme's injury, Lambert admits it is currently too early to tell whether he will be ready for this weekend's clash. “Carl’s got a knock at the minute so we are having to monitor him,"Lambert told expressanstar.com "We will see how he is. It’s a bit early to say (for the weekend). We will see how it develops and if he is going to be OK. “In terms of the others who are back, they are all OK. There are still one or two away. Hopefully, they come through their games OK," Lambert states. Ikeme has appeared in 31 of Wolverhampton's 37 Championship games this season. Wolves are aiming to continue their fine recent run and record a fourth consecutive win to pull further clear of the Championship relegation zone. They are currently 16th on 45 points in the 24-team Championship league table. www.completesportsnigeria.com/lambert-unsure-ikeme-availability-wolves-vs-cardiff/ |

I wonder why our players don't wear green and white arm bands when they are with their clubs. I look at stars from other countries and they are always representing their countries with their arm bands. No big deal but i'm sure it would boost them knowing they are also representing their country and it will also help the Nigerian fan base get behind them. 2 Likes |

IWOBI: I CAN CONVINCE ARSENAL TO SIGN IHEANACHO Taiye Taiwo The Nigeria international wants his compatriot in the Emirates Stadium just because of an off-field behaviour Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi believes he can influence a transfer move for Manchester City 's Kelechi Iheanacho to the North London club. Iwobi feels the Gunners can cash in on the 'funniest guy he knows' but doesn't see it happening in the coming months. The 20-year-old hailed his companion with the City forward and disclosed why he would love to see him in Arsenal's traditional red and white jersey. ‘I tell you, you should see us [him and Iheanacho] on Snapchat! Always bantering," Iwobi told Daily Mail. "We’re roommates right now and he’s just the funniest guy I know. 'We do get on well off the pitch as well as on the pitch. "Maybe I can try to convince Arsenal to sign him – but I don’t think that’s going to happen." Iwobi amazed everyone when a video of him speaking fluent Pidgin English was posted on Twitter by teammate Ogenyi Onazi. And reacting to how he has learned to speak the prevalent language in the Super Eagles' camp, he said: "Everyone could speak English, I’d get along fine, but they’d all say, “come on, you need to learn your language”. So yeah, I’ve learned a bit, which helps. ''When I first went I felt like I’m an alien! I know they used to take the mick out of me, and I didn’t know what they were saying.
