dannyjumbo: For educational purposes, WES offers the following: Freshman Admission: Request a Document-by-Document evaluation. Transfer Student and Graduate Admission: Request a Course-by-Course evaluation. WES ICAP: Verified transcripts and evaluation report stored and sent to educational institutions. WES Basic: includes delivery of your evaluation report only. I Can not Categorically tell you which one to pay for, @Bold should guide you to make a choice. I have not try WES but IERF (international education resource foundation) |

dannyjumbo: Go for the WES ICAP Course By Course Option, that way your WES Translations is permanently stored in their Data Base. All you have to do is order for your WES Translation to be sent to school XYZ, if that is what they need. I hope it is for school admission? |

IELTS, a minimum score of 6.0 overall bands is required. This is what my school says......I score L-5,S-7,R-6,W-6.5. Overall 6. Pls does it mean I will need to write another one with the statement. Because my listening score is below 6 |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 11 by LagosismyHome(f): 4:53am On Mar 31, 2017 |
michael1385: The school means regardless of the individual scores for each section you must have 6 in the overallband. To answer your specific question on that .... Your overall band is 6 so yes you got the minimum needed . Whether this is good enough. Yes you met the minimum but is that good enough ? . You have to make that determination by factoring your whole package. Such as gpa scores. School acceptance rate etc |

Thank you mayflowa. My dad has been there for over 14yrs now. I could decide to change the sponsor but it's written on my i20 that my dad is going to be the sponsor. Is there a way I could say that my uncle is sponsoring me whereas the i20 shows father as a sponsor?? Mayflowa: |

cmbagwu: You have to be consistent....so its either go back to the school.and change the i20 or you go as your dad as the sponsor |

Good day to all the Gurus in the house. Please i sincerely need your advice. This is my story. I have B1/B2 went to US with my family for vacation(two weeks). I got admission in a college and i went to apply for F1 and F2 for my daughter(at the time of application i still have a valid B1/2) My FI and F2 were denied, though i was heavily pregnant at that time(i didnt know they dont usually grant pregnant women F1). i deferred my admission to this fall. I travelled to US afterwards to have my baby and came back(all expenses were fully paid). Our B1/B2 expired in Oct 2016 so we applied in November for another B1/B2, we were denied again. Now i have received tuition waiver from the same college i applied to last year. I hope to join them this fall and that is the only college i applied to. Please note i am a lecturer in Nigeria but sponsorship will be my hubby to get my I-20, because getting Bank statement from the University where i lecture will be difficult to get I-20 but a kind of letter of introduction can be given to me from my University in Nigeria if need be for interview. Please advise me on what to do to ensure i get it this time around. |

ziggy3579: If you have an online banking profile with your dollar account, you can transfer using online banking OR you can as well walk into a GTB branch and have them initiate the transfer from your dollar account. |

cmbagwu: You can reach out to your school to change the sponsor in your I-20. The information on your I-20 and DS2019 must be consistent with what you say on the interview day. |

LagosismyHome: Its a College and not a University....does this really affect the chances?...should i apply to another university? and the program is environmental science. I am actually posting the question on behalf of my wife(applicant) and the interview for F1 was around Q1 in 2016 and she cannot remember how vividly can responded but my thought was because of the pregnancy...from your experience pregnancy is a setback for F1 right.? |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 11 by LagosismyHome(f): 11:32am On Apr 01, 2017 |
lasun01: Pregnancy is not a set back for f1..... if the embassy gives b1b2 for women to go have babies there then that not an issue College do you mean community college... if yes then that likely the problem. She has a degree i assume because you state been a lecturer so why she going back to community college .....that will be a big No No and red flag because that not progression but going backwards . Although i cannot say for certain what was in the Vo mind |

LagosismyHome:Sup bro, what if one decides to change career? Like who did business administration as first degree in Nigeria and want to be a nurse which is not possible here in Nigeria without science background. But there in USA you can apply for nursing in a college with or without science background. Please let me know if I'm right or wrong |

Good evening. I have a question. If a man wishes to apply for a F1 visa and wants his family to accompany him.. Will he have to apply for F2 for them individually or his F1 application can cover for the family? |
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 11 by imperiouxx(m): 9:07pm On Apr 01, 2017 |
cmbagwu: Hi. As a student you're good but your USC dad sponsor is my concern. Your USC dad doesn't show any tie to Nigeria. Like others told you, circumstances surrounding how he got his citizenship matters. If you're trying to change your sponsor on your I-20, you have to ask the school to give you a new I-20 with the correct sponsor. Relatives who reside in Nigeria are the best as home tie. Also, don't forget that you already told them you're financially capable when applying for the B1/B2 and seminar. So going by your worth, self sponsor would have looked good in this case. All in all, you've applied at the embassy before and was denied for no tie, now as a student, prepare for questions about your ties and authenticity. You know what you're expecting on that day, so you have to be on top of your game. Wishing you the best. |
