I agree with Davidtolu dept ID won't be accepted, your school ID is wat NYSC requires.

I will advice him to go to the relevant authorities in his school as it seems they do issue a paper in lieu of the ID card.

Departmental ID card would not help. However, the identification letter (signed and stamped) from the school could stand in place of the school's ID card.

On request for a new id card I was issued an identification letter instead which was signed by my HOD. I would like to know if that would suffice.
