many who favour science over religion, often advocate the superiority of the former over the later. history has shown if anything, that sciences itself has his root firmly in religion, hence their similarities.

here are some weird patterns one may find interesting observing both phenomena or the main characters.

1#. scientist and priest live an isolated life.

be it shrine or laboratory, scientist and priest live out their days in isolation. if they choose to come out, it is often for that big announcement. which usually is short live before returning.

2#. weird enough they both prophesy.

call it prediction, or prophesy, both attempt to tell event that is to come. weather they are using oracles or divination, book.

3#. they both offer sacrifice.

while priest are in their shrine slaughtering animal for "breakthrough", scientist are somewhere in their own lab inject mice and Guinea pigs and yes sometimes voluntary human subject for " scientific breakthrough"

4#. They position is often final since they are the highest authority.

The submission we get when we here "the Gods has spoken" ..is often similar to what we get when it's proclaimed "according to scientists..."

5#. They are the go to guys for advice.

just as the priest are sought after for their their deep insight regarding various areas of life. research scientist also are being sought after as regard their deep knowledge in various spheres of life.

This two phenomenon for me are not in anyway separate but are mutually re_enforcing for the overall benefit if humanity.

yeah the apocalypse too. this coincidence always baffles me.

Science and Mysticism [part of religion] do not have different origins, superstition and science are children of the same parent which is undiluted linear philosophy.

Superstition was a way in which humans made sense of the world, binding the strings to connect the bothering dots of the raging incessant effects around them.

science is a new way, a modern way of finding about Nature, a new way of communing with creation. superstition once served this purpose. They both utilize different method and line of thoughts but they both are not too different as people would have them look.

Science is not the opposite of mythologies, superstition or mysticism as a tool in deducting the truth if creation, rather science is a more refined and defined mythology, superstition and mysticism.

You can see and reconcile many similarities because what we call mysticism, superstition, sorcery was just the science of a different time.

Science requires no belief, they never forced anyone to agree on their discovery, they only dealing facts through experiment and observation, they gladly answers people questions in a satisfying state , asking for more



Religion requires belief, they force everyone to agree on what they provide as evidence, they only deals with beliefs, they get angry when asked a particular question
