That's not a good barometer. Not everyone spends that much.

Maybe you ought to cut down on p0rn.

I can't just help but laugh after going through the comments here, most of the people commenting here are probably still in school and are still been cater for by there parents so they know little about marriage, what is the minimum wage in Nigeria? "18,000". Let me use teacher's as an example there are some states where they pay teacher's less than 50,000 and they still went ahead to marry and enroll there kids in private school's, to the OP you will not remain on that salary scale for life my advice to you is if the lady is the understanding type please go ahead and marry her.

Spot on

A man who has a diligent and understanding woman supporting him would achieve more with a 100k family income than a man who earns 2M per month but is married to a vain, indolent and parasitic wife.

smiley depends on the state (town) you are located. Living in Ibadan or Ogbmosho is cheaper than living in Ikeja...

As a young graduate who got a job with a starting salary of N60,000 monthly and you have a fiancee who is also a graduate and has a job of N40,000 monthly, do you guys think one can start a good home with this a raise a decent comfortable family in Nigeria?

Of course you can.

Forget all the crap you've read. People who Don't earn as much are married.

Dude plan your self well and let your wife be understanding.

That money won't be your salary forever.

Keep waiting and by the time you are ready people who beer decisive would be sending thier kids to university

Starting a family is no big deal na, just give her belle. There is a saying that what the child would eat, s/he would bring it from heaven.

On a good note, the amount ain't bad to start a family provided you guys can sit, talk and make good plans on how to run the family.

Health insurance will take care of the bills.

I mean a government-mandated health insurance policy...?

Don't mind these pity party poppers. Nigeria has a health Insurance scheme (NHIS)which is mandatory to all civil servants. Moreso, private organisations and individual can enroll in the scheme at a yearly fee.

It's very possible. 60k. I have seen people with income of 15k and the wife selling groundnut raise 4graduates and build a house in moWe and someone who earns 300k a month is damn broke with uneducated kids and nothing to show. It is all about planning together with your wife and living within your means. everything is having someone who supports and bring out the best in you. With the right woman u 60k Can turn to 120k. I just dey pray for that kinda lady. A woman that sees the future, sits u down and talk sense into your head. A woman who encourages you, even when everyone is against you. A woman who saves and assist you when all hope is lost, a hardworking woman. Baba God just locate this woman for me wherever she dey. Even with 30k sef you can start a family. Everything na planning

You can o, yours is even better the two of you are working 100k every month is a big money, things will improve with time. Trust responsible women they will manage your home well, but if you go after slay queens, please don't come back here complaining that your wife is denying you your marital rights because of low income.
