Dude, I don't care if the Pastor locked up Kemi till thy Kingdom come, or if she confessed or apologized or if she have proof or not against the Pastor.

I don't know Kemi and am not advocating for her, my analysis is purely from the biblical aspect and the way the Bible expects us to comport ourselves when faced with adversity. Jesus said, if they persecute me, they will also persecute you, but he still command them to handle those persecutions as he handled his.

Yes, Christians sometimes out of justified anger slip and resort to vegence at the spur of the moment just like Peter at the Garden by chopping off the ears of one of the arresting office, but Jesus, through to his teachings and what he wants us to do, admonished Peter and healed the man.
why didn't Jesus tell judas, or caution him? Why did elisha call on the bear? All these I too know. I just told you there are loads that offend pastors daily. Many steal offerings and their properties. How many cases do you hear in court? Stop allowing your sentiments cloud your sense of judgement. You are n God or Jesus. Let's assume the "pastor heard from God to su kemi" and leave it like that. If na your father kemi talk say dey sleep with children or that your father is gay, what will you do? Define persecution... it's simply using a system or law to condemn religion or a sect of people. What law is kemi using? Let her face the law! Yes we find out the truth about some of these pastors, politicians , oil bunkers ... senators through the media .. If they can back up their claims....

It was a A defamation suit against her and waltson the publisher. She has not been charged for the alleged offence..Has she ??

Initially Judge Alatuwo Fubara was missing at the Port Harcourt Magistrate's Court on Thursday as the hearing..So they fixed it to the 30th March

Kemi Olunloyo granted bail> http://dailypost.ng/2017/03/30/kemi-olunloyo-granted-bail/

A Magistrates’ court in Port Harcourt, today granted bail to popular blogger, Kemi Omolulu Olonloyo, and Samuel Walson, publisher of a local tabloid in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The two publishers are facing four count charges of publishing defamatory and malicious story against the General Overseer of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie.

Chief Magistrate, Alatuwo Elkanah Fubara, in his ruling granted the two accused media practitioners bail in the sum of two hundred thousand Naira with credible sureties who reside in Port Harcourt.

The court also struck out one of the charges on cyber crime against Kemi Omolulu Olonloyo for lack of jurisdiction to try the matter.

The matter has been adjourned to May 4 for hearing.

.....

The bail period shouldl allow her to gather her evidence in place and for her lawyers to prepare her for the hearing......

Yes it was ok for Pastor to take it court to defend himself ....

If it goes back to court in May and they both present themselves before the judge.....It would be nice to post the court video to the public.......No one is above the law......then we can say we are being fair to her as a citizen and to the pastor whose reputation is at stake.

But to accuse her of defamation, send her to prison , handcuffed and in prison uniform... and still detain her after bail and without any any trial or video showing the trial ....makes me wonder and want to question our judicial system..........and who is pulling the string.

The Pastor or the crazy Journalist .....You never know who is telling the truth.

You are the one reading the Bible upside-down.

You are confusing the salvation of the sinner, with what God commanded Christians to do, without prompting.

Kemi's confession is tied to Kemi's salvation; just like the thief you referenced...he was not forgiven by God, because he did not repent, same will be applicable to Kemi by God and you are a baby Christian to link this Kemi's salvation with what God commanded Christians to do.

Did you noticed another thing on that cross? Jesus, our example forgave everyone offended him before he took his last breath. Even Stephen while actively been stoned to death and before he took his last breath and without his killers confessing or apologizing said..."Lord, do not hold this sin against"

The Pastor insisting on confession of an unbeliever before forgiveness is putting himself in the place of God. He has forgotten that, he is also a sinner, who equally needs forgiveness from God and is now usurping the position of God, who needs no forgiveness.

Let me ask you a question..., do you understand or even believe Matt 6:14 "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you"... Mark 11:26 put it more bluntly "But if he do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses"

There is no pre-condition of the offended repenting, apologizing, confessing...but to make it worse....Our own salvation and forgiveness by God is tied to us forgiving others period!

As I have said, one will understand the initial actions of the Pastor as forgiveness is tough, but to hold out as if, his continual actions are somehow justifiable by any Christian precepts is far from the truth, by his continual actions, when reflected against the Bible, he is not a Christian (Christ-Like).

Oga, the person that will be forgiven has to apologise first and admit that she is wrong. That's the process. Does God forgive you without conviction, confession and restitution. Shall we continue in sin because Grace abound? God forbid. Don't come here preaching forgiveness when you don't even know the process and what it is.

Go through the example I sighted for you in my last write up, if you are a father and give birth to 6 kids. Then out of your six kids, 3 decided to Change to Muslim, will the rest kids say because they are no longer Christians they are no more family? We Christians like to turn the Holy Bible upside down sometimes. God created the universe including the people in it and He sees everyone his own, all man is equal before God. Whether you like it or not, a Muslim is your brother. God has made it to be so there's nothing you can do about it.

alBHAGDADI:
Luke 9:51-56

51 When the days were approaching for His ascension, He was determined to go to Jerusalem;
52 and He sent messengers on ahead of Him, and they went and entered a village of the Samaritans to make arrangements for Him.
53 But they did not receive Him, because He was traveling toward Jerusalem.
54 When His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them?”
55 But He turned and rebuked them, [and said, “You do not know what kind of spirit you are of;
56 for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.” And they went on to another village.

Did you read the above passage? Do you know why Christ rebuked his disciples when they wanted to command fire from heaven to consume the Samaritans?

Christ said that we Christians are of a different spirit. What do you think he would look like today if he had commanded fire to burn down the same people he came to save?

Since the Kemi Olunloyo and Pastor Ibiyeomie saga became a police affair, I've read several comments from supposed Christians urging the pastor on. When it is made clear to them that a preacher is not to react in the manner Pastor Ibiyeomie did, in that he ought to overlook the matter by forgiving her without taking action, like Christ would, , they shift the goal post to saying that Kemi Olunloyo didn't ask for forgiveness.

Did the people that were killing Jesus ask for forgiveness before he said "Father forgive them for they know not what they do"? Now, tell me, a crime of killing you versus a crime of defaming you, which is more easy to forgive without taking action?

Pastor Ibiyeomie calls himself a Christian i.e like Christ, yet he isn't acting like one. He has enjoyed all the good side of being a Christian. But now that it is time to suffer for Christ, he can't even face the suffer of defamation. What if he had existed in the days of the early apostles when Christians where arrested and fed to lions in gladiator arenas? Those disciple's still prayed for their persecutors.

I don't know whether Kemi Olunloyo deserves whatever she's going through cos we don't know whether she has proof of her claims. One thing i do know is that her punishment shouldn't come from a man who is supposed to preach to her. Having her locked up doesn't prove he's innocent of the allegation.

Some would argue that his silence would have made many people to leave his church. The silence that Jesus and his disciples maintained when they were persecuted is one of the reasons why Christianity is major today. If they had attacked their attackers, Christianity would have been tagged a terrorist religion.

Let's remember how Peter reacted when he cut off the ear of one of those that came to arrest Jesus. Most importantly, let's remember how the man they came to arrest reacted to the situation. He rebuked Peter and went ahead to heal the ear. But Christianity of today is "attack me, I attack you", thanks to the years of prosperity preaching which has turned man away from God and made them love self than others.

You can continue to argue in favour of the pastor, but the Bible will always condemn his actions. God has given you an hint to free you from the shackles of those that have been misleading you. Instead of following it, Christians of today have chosen to stand with the same evil men. Below is what Christ will say..

But He turned and rebuked them, [and said, “You do not know what kind of spirit you are of; Luke 9:55

Do you know why many Christians will accept the mark of the Antichrist? It is because they choose man over God and His Word. It's not too late for you today.

Exodus 22:32
then Moses stood in the gate of the camp and said, “Who is on the LORD’s side? Come to me.”

ONE thing I want you to have in mind is that, it is futile explaining the obligatory act of forgiveness to an unbelieverer I tried it extensively yesterday but they just don't get it.
My submission is that the spirit of forgiveness is a virtue that all Christians must have, however, it is also a virtue bestowed on us by God.
When I forgive people who had grievously hurt me, people think I'm a fool. But then the Bible had said that's what we'll look like.
When the spirit of repentance, restitution and salvation comes over them too they'll appreciate the obligations of unconditional forgiveness.
May God help us

You must have missed, the last supper, when Jesus cautioned Judas...try read Matt 26, John 13, Mark 14, etc.

As for Elisha, he was leaving under the Old covenant. An eye for an eye is the rule in the old covenant.

If the old covenant was perfect, Jesus would not have come, He would not have died for our sins and Gentiles like myself and you would have still be aliens to God and His plans.

Jesus is the fulfillment of the old covenant, he said he brought a new and a better covenant, a better way of life.

Alright, I tried my best to shy away from this but I couldn't. Bro, the only reason why Jesus didn't command fire on those people when with his disciples was because he hadn't fulfilled his work on earth. He came to die for them; commanding fire will only make his work futile. If not, why didn't Jesus listen to the devil during his temptation and jump down. Most times you will hear Jesus say "my time hasn't come". Killing those who he meant to save would be contrary to God's plans.
Two, the reason why Jesus said " ye know not what Spirit ye are of" was because at that time, the Holy Spirit hadn't come, so they weren't led of the Spirit when they wanted Jesus to rain fire on them. Ask yourself why did Peter command blindness on that Bar-Jesus who was hindering the governor from receiving the word? Or proclaim death on Ananais and Sapphira. He could have as well led them to Christ don't you think? Or even Paul cursing those who were preaching other doctrine when he said "if any preach aught other than what we have preached, let him be accursed?
So my brother, Kemi took her stupidity too far this time to the doorstep of the man of God. Make she face the music.

linearity:

You are the one reading the Bible upside-down.

You are confusing the salvation of the sinner, with what God commanded Christians to do, without prompting.

Kemi's confession is tied to Kemi's salvation; just like the thief you referenced...he was not forgiven by God, because he did not repent, same will be applicable to Kemi by God and you are a baby Christian to link this Kemi's salvation with what God commanded Christians to do.

Why wont God automatically forgive the thief even without him asking for it?. U called me a baby christian its ur opinion but doesnt change d fact that i will never be a hypocrite. U will sue the person dat kills ur son to court abi, why wont u rather forgive d person even wen he comes around to mock u.

Did you noticed another thing on that cross? Jesus, our example forgave everyone offended him before he took his last breath. Even Stephen while actively been stoned to death and before he took his last breath and without his killers confessing or apologizing said..."Lord, do not hold this sin against".

If Jesus truly forgave everyone den tell me Would pilate and other soldiers be in heaven by now? Are u really dat confused? why would Jesus forgive everyone but not the thief on d cross who didnt even have a hand in his death? Wat do u think could have happend to any soldier who came near to Jesus to arrest him after his ressurrection?
The Pastor insisting on confession of an unbeliever before forgiveness is putting himself in the place of God. He has forgotten that, he is also a sinner, who equally needs forgiveness from God and is now usurping the position of God, who needs no forgiveness.

dont u know that Jesus gave us d power to forgive sins or retain the sins pls search well b4 u tell me to quote scriptures here so dat u wont really look like the baby christian here

Let me ask you a question..., do you understand or even believe Matt 6:14 "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you"... Mark 11:26 put it more bluntly "But if he do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses".

in the parable Jesus used to drive home dat point did d master of the debtor automatically forgive him or did the d debtor cry unto d master for forgiveness? Yes we should be like God. Does God forgive sins of those who dont ask for it?

There is no pre-condition of the offended repenting, apologizing, confessing...but to make it worse....Our own salvation and forgiveness by God is tied to us forgiving others period!.
our salvation comes wen we demand for it and not just God deciding to save everybody even those who didnt ask? Yes pastor David will be wrong if kemi asks for forgiveness and he refuses.

As I have said, one will understand the initial actions of the Pastor as forgiveness is tough, but to hold out as if, his continual actions are somehow justifiable by any Christian precepts is far from the truth, by his continual actions, when reflected against the Bible, he is not a Christian (Christ-Like).
There is nothing that is tough for a christian with the Holyspirit. And nothing he did is against his Christian life. dnt let me go and dig up ur comments about apostle Suleiman when he was accuse because it would be ur hypocrisy and hatred for these men of God staring at ur face
