I am about hosting some domains, but contemplating whether or not to choose a Nigerian hosting company.

My experience with some Nigerian hosting company is that they are unstable, unpredictable and all that.

For the foreign platforms, I can trust a couple of them but for the ever flunctuating rate of the dollar.

What do you advice?

It's your choice to make.

There's no gain saying that foreign hosts have a better quality of service on the average.

But like you said, the rate of the dollar keeps flunctuating. If it's not a problem for you then go ahead and host with a good foreign host.

if it's a problem, there are still some Nigerian hosts that are ok. Personally, i use whogohost for now until the dollar improves.

I currently host some domains on WhoGoHost, sometimes the service is good at other times, it's crappy.

Top most of my worry is the support system...Buh wetin man go do?

1. At first, it was Tboss, Debbie, Efe and Mavis that were up for eviction. Nothing concern Bally. Suddenly, Bisola used her power as HOH to save Efe and replace him with Bally, and at the end of the day, Bally was evicted.

does anyone in the house use bluehost company to host their wordpress blog? I want to register my wordpress with bluehost but I'm a bit confused. Does the payment for hosting also cover dormain name, or would you pay for domain name separately? what is their method of payment? And what is the difference between hosting on bluehost and paying for one of the plans offered on WordPress? Thanks

we have trashed this issue several times.

First of all put it in the back of your mind that 99.9% of all hosting company in Nigeria are reseller hosting, And believe me Nigeria hosting is the least hosting am gonna consider, still haven't forgotten what smartweb did to me.

Although Nigeria hosting are cheap and affordable, I prefer foreign hosting, for safety and reliability.

I can't sacrifice my business on the alter of patriotism.

Nothing like nigeria host. You have to know that most nigeria host if not all nigeria host are resellers. Buy service from them at your own risk

It is for small players.

During the dollar scarcity, it became difficult to make payment for foreign hosting. If you were caught in that situation, your site could go down for the duration of the foreign exchange crisis.
I've now learned to use local hosting so just to avoid scenarios​ like that

You want to be businesslike?Go for the one that offers you unhindered access to service.Time is money, when you lose you lose money.

For small projects/ static sites = Nigerian host.

For big projects/ site with hug traffic and generated content please use a global leader in hosting services.

Please Please Please don't use Nigerian host... i have subscription with two Nigerian host but still having issues, that's why i still have to get a foreign host. One thing with Nigerian hosting is that they are yet to get perfect, if you are doing something serious, do foreign host...
