santity100: Like i said to you before stop deceiving and misleading applicants here, do not encourage them to lie or withhold any info in their visa application form. International travelers often have these questions: Is my data safe with a country when I apply for a visa? Is it shared with other countries? If the U.S. denied my visa will the Canadian Embassy have access to this information? http://lawquestinternational.com/article/immigration-data-shared-between-nations 1 Like |

justwise: The information I gave is a fact based on my experiences and it depends on applicants to choose their path. I won't talk about it again as i feel it is wrong to encourage people to lie but that information is not misleading as it is based on numerous practical experiences. Case closed. |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by justwise(m): 5:55pm On Apr 02, 2017 |
santity100: Of course the info you gave out here is misleading and dangerous to say the least. Its not factual and can only lead to refusal and possible ban. Please put a stop to this, this thread should only be used to encourage applicants to do the right thing. 1 Like |

ugomnaanny: When did you apply and when does school commence? Its always adviceable to lodge your application 3 months before your travel time. |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by WestAfrican: 12:31am On Apr 03, 2017 |
Edandy:Yes it adviceable not to have money lodgment but if you do, you can cover yourself by having your sponsor write a letter of sponsorship and that he has deposited some funds in your account for the purpose of your studies. Hopefully the money lodgement doesn't come from many different sources. Yes anyone can sponsor you only if you have applied as an AL1 applicant. The total balance in your account does not really matter thou you need to have a constant inflow and outflow of funds and a reasonable amount of money as a closing balance. |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by justwise(m): 5:30am On Apr 03, 2017 |
WestAfrican: That is not true, why would a complete stranger invest millions in you and how would you convince the embassy that it is act of charity/good will gesture? |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by santity100: 6:59am On Apr 03, 2017 |
Edandy: UNE is on a AL1 so you won't be required by the embassy 1 Like |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by santity100: 7:04am On Apr 03, 2017 |
WestAfrican: Not anyone can sponsor. The only acceptable sponsors are Your parents, spouse, sisters and brothers, uncle or aunt (PR or citizen of Oz or nz). Even in the GTE forms or acceptance forms, most universities list the sponsor options there. |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by WestAfrican: 8:43am On Apr 03, 2017 |
santity100:I know someone in australia who recently got his visa. His uncle in America sponsored him. If your are under AL1 its fine otherwise you will need those aforementioned to sponsor you. |

Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by WestAfrican: 9:16am On Apr 03, 2017 |
justwise: Yes there are heaps of good people every where except for most african countries which Nigeria is very much included. There are good people in australia who have individually sponsored others for permanent residency. Most Oyibos are good people they help without thinking twice or looking for repayments. I am a testimony. I just used the Documentary Evidence List to access myself on AL1 applicant but found out that things have changed since 31st of March 2017 The Document Checklist Tool has been updated. If you intend to lodge a student visa application on or after 31March 2017, you are encouraged to re-check the document checklist based on your country of passport and education provider before lodgement. Your evidence requirements might have changed. Prior to that date anyone could sponsor you. For example: If your parents are old and have retired? If your parents helped your sponsor when he was growing up and now he decided to help you in the name of payback? If your sponsor sees you a lot of prospect in you and decided to invest in you? If your sponsor is a philanthropist? Here is a link to assess yourself: https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/500- |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by WestAfrican: 9:24am On Apr 03, 2017 |
justwise:Immigration hardly check on that or even deny your visa base on that. Australia may share database with New Zealand and USA with Canada but not UK and USA etc. Immigration does not have the time to do background checks on that. But then it doesn't mean one has to lie about it when asked. |

Is there any other way one can get PR without going through the normal process of doing assessment first,English test and so on. As in can one chose to sponsor you without you going through this processes. Thanks |

Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by justwise(m): 1:23pm On Apr 03, 2017 |
WestAfrican: Dude please stop giving people false hope and be honest with them. Yes there are good people but how many are willing to spend millions on strangers on constant basis? |

WestAfrican: An uncle is not a stranger, an uncle can sponsor his nephew or niece if his is financially capable because they share the same family name. |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by WestAfrican: 10:11pm On Apr 03, 2017 |
justwise:You are also giving wrong information. According to the recent update from immigration, only your parents or spouse can sponsor you on AL1 which i just posted the url in my previous comment. |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by WestAfrican: 10:17pm On Apr 03, 2017 |
justwise:I have not asked anyone to go loom for a stranger. Prior to now ANYONE could sponsor you as an AL1 which includes a stranger. My response was based on the question asked "can anyone sponsor me?" ANYONE includes strangers okay. So if a person is lucky to find a stranger then their luck. When I was about to apply for my PR i had people i never knew from Adams wanting to provide their company documents so I can stay in Australia. Strangers can invest in people they see prospect in or they want to help. |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by WestAfrican: 10:24pm On Apr 03, 2017 |

If you have a friend or family member who runs a business in Australia and meet up the requirements for sponsorship they can sponsor you. Hence, you still need to write the english test as it part of the requirements for PR. |

Vickglam: Dont worry about birth certificate or attestation. Your certified passport, drivers licence and national identity card will do. |

figur: How old is your pregnancy? Usually blòod test does not cover for pregnancy test and chest and CT scans does not show your stomach. If your bump is very obvious, your panel doctor may advice you not to go for your chest x-ray or may inform dibp about it when submitting your result. I know an ex work mate from Zimbabwe who came on a student visa and had her baby 5months after. That was 3 years ago so don't know if rules have changed. Presently dibp change rules on every visa subclass on a monthly bases. |

santity100:That's misleading info, UNE Isn't AL1 at all. If you want to know how to check which level of assessment unis fall under, use the link provided by Westafrican. @justwise, you're always on here arguing what you don't know. Countries don't share people's data except the person is suspected of crime, or was previously arrested in one those countries, even the backwater link you posted says so if you read further. As student visa applicants, Embassies work with the info provided to them, they have absolutely no time to check everyone's data with other countries, again, except the application seems suspicious or the applicant is from a very high risk terrorist country. This is how you hid my post because I responded to a question that Embassies don't have time to confirm every bank statement, considering the amount of applications the receive, unless it's outright suspicious. Banks don't just release people's info, it's a breach of confidentiality and they can be sued, I know this because I worked in a Nigerian bank for years, and I have friends who are senior officers in Embassies. I understand that you want people to do the right thing and I want that as well, but you don't have to lie or mislead people just to scare them. You can encourage people to do the right thing by telling it as it really is, and letting them know the consequences of their choices. Plus Nigerians need to understand their rights to privacy and confidentiality when dealing with Embassies and other organisations. 4 Likes |
