South East Governors Forum Meeting:

South East governors met at the Government House, Enugu yesterday & agreed to immediately meet with the various and appropriate authorities of federal presence to address the issues of IPOB, MASSOB, Nnamdi Kanu's detention, ecological problems of the South East, various water dams that have been abandoned in the zone, power and security challenges and other concerns of the people of the area.

Presenting its communique after the meeting, the Chairman of the South East Governors Forum, His Excellency, Gov. David Umahi of Ebonyi State noted that the governors are very committed to addressing these challenges, adding that action is already being taken in that regard.

He also disclosed that the South East governors agreed to meet with all stakeholders of the zone to discuss and address all issues that are of interest to the people of the region.

The governors equally approved the constitution of two representatives per state for the South East Economic Committee that would immediately meet and fashion out a road map towards the economic integration of the region that will be presented in their next meeting.

The meeting was attended by Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State (host) , Gov. Rochas Okorocha of Imo State and Gov. Willie Obiano of Anambra State while the Chairman of the Forum announced that the Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu had a delayed flight in Lagos and could not meet up with the meeting.

I think the governors shld meet Kanu first to mind his language. All govt in d world dont always want to be seen as weakling. With his choice of word, it will be difficult to release him.

You do not have anything to say. You are actually the person that wants to use false information dissemination to fight freedom and good judgement.

Does the ideas of these governors and Nnamdi kanu cross paths? The only thing the have in common is the are seeking for justice. Does governors come together to intervene in the matter of someone who is guilty, everybody knows what is right, it's just that politics have spoilt everything.

Only Rochas Okorocha is the sincere governor among them, and it's because he has more to lose with the continue imprisonment of Kanu, the other coward governors will prefer him to stay in prison to boost their own chances, as they will use Kanu to campaign against APC, and it will resonate among the Ibos.
