Operating costs and admin exps need to be pruned. Efficiency in asset utilisation should be increased and cost to income ratio require to be reduced and maintained within industry band. The company is still technically over trading and might not be out of the woods yet. Management's financial management is poor and liquidity weakened as bulk of it's funds are in customers hands showing inefficient debt recovery system.

Conspicuously staring at one's face is the increase in the company's leverage. The fact is Oando's financial risk is still very high and exposes investors money to downside risk. This implies that the various spin offs during the year by management yielded little or no benefits.

The profit is what I will describe as pure accounting profit and not organic induced from operating efficiency. Thanks to the tax benefit from loss recovery and gain from disposal of less productive business.

I am still in shock that 500k was paid to me by UCAP as dividend, the first time in my life I got such a money cry...my strategy is to increase my earnings through dividend by 50% each year, as I go for dividend paying stocks. I discovered that I am a dividend type. I see that there are a lot of traders here. I have some units of Skye Bank with Meritrade,a big mistake as I wanted to test the waters. I am so happy. please I need more dividend stocks-in the class of UCAP- under 2.50k, that I can acquire more volumes . Daalu nu, ego amaka

Mobil at N315 while Total is N260... Who says NSE is not fraud ?

Since loco has gone spiritual because of FCMB, then nothing stops me too from doing same on TOTAL...Every forces dragging TOTAL down, what are you waiting for, fall down and die...

Continue..... When we don't have details about a matter, it is always better not to jump into conclusion.

Summary: NIPCO wants to buy out minority shareholders at the same unit price(most likely), Exxon Mobil sold to them N417.12
Same applies to every other unknowns on the NSE. Those that know would be making the move while the know-nots will be watching the stock price and be like "what's going on in ****? cheesy cheesy

Someone was comparing PZ and Unilever with UACN the other day. Both are tightly held by their parent companies unlike UACN hence the reason the share prices won't and can't respond the same way. UACN will crash faster (with negative news) and rise slower (with positive news).

The Central Bank of Nigeria
(CBN), Monday, injected another
$240 million into the nation’s
foreign exchange market to
sustain Naira’s gains against the
Dollar and other hard currencies. Of that amount, $90 million was to
meet requests for invisibles such
as BTA/PTA, medical and school
fees. The balance of $150 million
was given to authorized FOREX
dealers in the interbank wholesale auction window. The Bank’s Acting Director in
charge of Corporate
Communications, Isaac
Okorafor, confirmed the figures,
disclosing that the CBN had
adjusted BDC sale days to Tuesdays only to reduce
logistical difficulties. He added
that henceforth the apex Bank
would sell $10,000 only to low-
end forex dealers once a week,
instead of the twice weekly earlier announced. According to Okorafor, in a bid to
further ease the access of
customers, the CBN has also
directed all banks to pay cash
over the counter to desiring
foreign exchange customers. While urging the banks to oblige
the genuine requests .

According to CSL today: MOBIL – There was an off-market trade of 216,357,157 units at N417.12 which relates to the NIPCO acquisition of 60% stake in Mobil downstream.

Still waiting for response please

You might need to confirm elsewhere and that's if I got your question correctly, there are indexes traded on the NSE. However, I am not sure it is in the manner you are familair with. What obtains here are funds or pool of funds that trade stocks listed in a market segment eg banking, consumer group, NSE 30 etc. These funds are listed and traded on the NSE. Examples are Stanbic IBTC ETF 30, Vetiva banking ETF, Vetiva Industrial ETF etc.

Nigeria is set to boost her daily production of crude oil as the Nigerian Agip Exploration Limited (NAE) begins work on Zabazaba deep water project that is expected to gulp $13.5 billion. The oil giant will begin to receive commercial proposals for the project this month (April). The request for commercial tenders from bidders followed the finalisation of the technical evaluation for the main packages of the project by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and NAE, with the aim to maximize local content. The packages included the Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units, subsea, installation and rigs. The Executive Secretary of Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Simbi Wabote, explained that the board fast tracked its evaluations and approvals on the Zabazaba project to increasing Nigeria’s crude oil production and creating opportunities for the growth and development of Nigerian content. To bring the project to fruition .
