Great thread here. I have read the first 25 pages and still gaining knowledge. I want to ask about scholarship opportunities available for students without professional experience. I'd like to get first hand information although I've checked through daad.de. |

jay123000: I don't remember saying that. Read step 8 again. It is a summarised guidline and not an epistle. 2ndly you do not expect me to write every single thing here like "remember to brush your teeth in the morning before going for visa interview". As to whether there is visa fees or filling of form please sir use google or visit the embassy website or ask others, I do not spoonfeed people. |

Please guys, how do I ask the British council to send my IELTS result to a school in Germany? I visited the website but don't understand what they are saying. If you have sent yours before, just tell me how you went about it. Thanks |

Please, do DHL need letter of authorization before picking up passport from German Consulate. I've submitted my passport for the past two weeks and I've not heard anything from DHL. I wrote them this morning and they told me that I have to give them letter of authorization. Have anyone done that? |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by chrisley024(m): 7:53pm On Apr 04, 2017 |
Gbaski247:Don't understand this cos I thought the embassy sends it via the self-addressed envelope you submitted. |

Good day all, Please, just few questions: - whats the best and easiest way to make payment to uni-assist, i was at the bank today and i was told that i must have a dorm account to transfer. Also its stated on uni-assist that nigerian issued cards aint accepted. - is it a must to have student insurance before booking for the interview - lastly, how long does it take to get a response from the embassy after the interview Thank you. |

Hello house.. I've been following in ghost mode and I must confess that I've learnt a lot here.. But I've got a concern I read in part one of his thread that u need 1.8m in naira for the blocked German bank account.. But that post was supposedly in 2012 So since there things have changed a lot wit exchange rate.. How much does one need to deposit now in naira equivalent? I know the information is there in German embassy website, but I want a first hand experience from a recent applicant |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by jbonito(m): 6:12am On Apr 05, 2017 |
EmekaMD: 8790 Euros.... Do the math. |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by Nobody: 6:17am On Apr 05, 2017 |
EmekaMD: It depends on current exchange rate. Starting from 3.5m will do I think |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by jbonito(m): 6:19am On Apr 05, 2017 |
arieshybrid: 1. When you are ready to pay for Uni-assist, make it known here. There are guys already in Germany who will help you pay while you transfer Naira equivalent to their account. If you actually read pages back you will see some stating they should be contacted for Uni-assist payment. 2. NO 3. Why don't you get to that bridge to cross it? No point asking this when you don't even have an admission letter. Haba! Cheers |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by jbonito(m): 6:21am On Apr 05, 2017 |
OJCITY22: Some weeks ago,you needed 4 million. 3.5 will work now cos of Form A and exchange rate getting better. It's better one deals with the Euro amount then when you are ready to pay, find out based on current exchange rate. |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by jbonito(m): 6:26am On Apr 05, 2017 |
Caliph69: Are you talking about the travel insurance you buy to pick up your Visa in Nigeria? If yes then it's misleading to say it will be used in Germany as a regular health insurance. I believe the moment you arrive you will need to get a Real Health insurance by a German provider. What you buy here is just 'travel insurance' Cheers. 2 Likes |
