If you actually deferred, your school is supposed to send you a new admission letter and I-20. You don't want to go to the embassy with a spring 2017 I-20 and admission letter. Please contact your school and tell them to elucidate what they mean by " admission for spring has been activated" because that sounds like the admission wasn't deferred oo

Now the question is, would you advise that i fill my employment history as working, when filling the DS160. Considering that they may ask what have i been doing since i finished NYSC.
Should you advise that I should fill the employment history in the DS160, if a question then comes on what have I been doing, what answer would you advise that i give? and if no, what would you advise I should say i have been doing since 2015?

You always can fill a new one and use it during the initial registration at the embassy unless the rule has changed.

NB. Don't give contradictory info on those DS160.

If its not submitted yet. fill another one. but, if you have submit it then email them for correction. I think they will do it from their end or you either fill a new ds160 and they help you replace it with the old one.

To the best of my knowledge, Your work experience really has nothing to do with your visa chances, VO just wants to know if you have been idle or got anything doing between those gaps... I'll advise you fill that form with all honesty as this will give you more confidence to answer any questions that pops up without having to think what to say.

I can't say for sure. But personally I wouldn't use a statement that is more than 3 months old. I believe some schools have this policy too. If you can get a new one before the interview then pls by all means do.

Personally i would say its preferred if the work is related even if its a voluntary work and not the main work...
