WES got all my documents from UNILAG since 7th of March, 2017. They updated my page on the 11th but over 3 weeks later, when I was expecting a response from them, they sent me a mail informing me that they've sent photocopies of my documents to UNILAG for verification. Since then, it's been the same update on the site.

Please my questions are as follows:

1. Has anyone had this experience before? If yes, how long did it take UNILAG to respond?
2. Do I have to follow up with UNILAG?
3. If yes, does anyone have a contact in UNILAG that I can use?
4. Since WES' email says they expect a 'written' letter from UNILAG, does it mean that they sent physical photocopies to UNILAG and expect UNILAG to respond with hard copy letter?
5. If yes to number 4, will UNILAG contact me to pay for the courier or will UNILAG use regular snail mail to send their response to WES?

6. Is there anything I can do to fastrack this process?

Congrats to those who have received ITA.

@ the gurus in the house, my evaluation status on WES portal reads "Waiting for verification from institution". Could this mean that my transcripts must have been sent by my schools (undergraduate and PG) but WES want to confirm their genuinity?

I need to understand this status so I can know who to follow up.

It usually means that WES has received your documents (not necessarily your transcripts) and have sent a verification request by email or post (hard copy)...you need to follow up with those schools to respond asap. If the schools were sent the request via post mail, you might have to pay extra very soon(about 96 CAD).

Hope this helps.

Experienced people in the house, I need your help with clarification on this issue.

I am a Regulatory Staff in a Telecoms company and once my WES arrives, I intend to apply under NOC 4423 By-law enforcement and other regulatory officers, n.e.c. my question is what does n.e.c. mean? I hope it's not a regulated skill?

Your responses will be highly appreciated please.

Hello Guys,

I have been patiently following this thread and i must confess i have learnt alot!!!! I have done my IELTS & my IQAS just came out yesterday hence i missed the draw just by 24hrs - wish IQAS responded earlier - i must say they are kinda slow now jare.

I will fill the form between now and weekend and wait patiently for the next draw - my score has been between 440 and 450 - my husband wrote the IELTS as well and results should be out tomorrow.

I understand getting the ITA is just the beginning of the work but then it doesn't matter we go do the work. I wish everyone else all the best and good news we shall all get IJN.

I miss Zandora ohhhhh - congrats 40manlappy dupyshoo, irondome, JesusDWay, zandora, boldinc - Vcole - all ofuna wehdone sir.

Assist in preparing various reports that feed directly into banks' monthly management accounts.
Preparing monthly management accounts.

Received ITA yesterday, so happy. My score was 431 which makes me feel even more blessed. Started October last year with an agent after IETLS results came out Agent just said score wasn't high enough so only provincial option and none were open then, wasn't getting adequate feedback so decided to go through the CIC website (I read that website tire). Figured out if I retake IETLS I will score higher and most likely qualify if the trend of reducing scores continue. Just found this group last month and was able to successfully submit application with the help got here. Thanks everyone and for others still in the pool all the best

Congratulations,
Can you share your point.
1. Did you have family in canada which give you more point
2. Did you study in Canada which give u more point
3. Did you work in Canada before which give you more point
4. Did you get job offer from canada which give you more point
5. Did you get province nomination which give you more point.
Because all these are points

Reason for asking

Is just that all theses above I do not have, that is the reason I refuse to take IELTS exam because I know with absence of the above point I may not meet 400+

Pls based on your point and document, do you think I have a chance of getting 400+ with condition below.

I am man 36years age + 6 years work experience in NOC A class job.( gas turbine operation, power station) B.ENg + M.Eng in mechanical engineering.
But all the question 1-5 above I don't have them, so am scared if I can get 400+ if write IELTS exam. Since 1-5 are more points and I don't have them.

My wife, 32 yes age + 2 years wok experience in nursery school. + 3rd class's B.Tech industrial chemistry . we both have 2 children, both are less than 3 yes

Pls advice if is possible to get 400+, because I did CSR point ranking I got 300+

▼ Exemption to section A11.2: candidates whose birthday occurs after they receive an ITA

An applicant may have a birthday after they receive an ITA but before they submit their e-APR. Their change in age may lower their CRS score below the lowest score in the round of invitations. It may also result in the applicant no longer meeting the minimum requirements of the FSWC and, consequently, no longer meeting the MEC, resulting in a refusal based on section A11.2.

When a change in age results in the candidate no longer meeting the MEC or having their recalculated CRS points score fall below the lowest points score in that round of invitations, officers should consider applying the public policy to exempt applicants for permanent residence from certain age-based requirements between invitation to apply and application, based on section A25.2. This consideration can result in an exemption from the refusal of an application under section A11.2.

This public policy also grants an exemption to applicants who may be refused for failing to meet FSWC program requirements when their birthday occurs between the ITA and e-APR

You said your work experience is NOC C. Please remember that only NOC 0, A or B are qualified for express entry. Double check all the requirements (read page 0 of this thread) before you make your decision.
I have a total of 9 years experience but 5 years fall under NOC C, 4 years in NOC 0.

Thanks, very likely you will score above 400 With your profile. 300 is quite low, possibly the English test results used are low, you need to score min of 8 in Listening and 7.5 in the others to get good scores which also increases your skills transferability scores from 25 to 50. I suggest you read through the cic.gc.ca website You can already start processing your MSc degree and wifey BSc degree evaluation and schedule IETLS tests for both of you. All the best

WES usually sends both email and post verification. In my case, I had to go to the school to follow up and ensure that it was printed and acted upon. I guess the hard copy arrived after we had sent the verification back.

You need to contact your school and someone in the registrars office. Also you need to settle the school to send it via courier and give you the tracking number so that you will know when to start following up with WES all over again

All the best.

In summary once you get ITA your age score is fixed. No further action is required from you. In the ITA letter received below was included
Note: If you had a Birthday since we sent out this invitation and the change to your age decreases your points total, this will not cause us to refuse your application for Permanent residence

Hi

The ITA letter clearly addressed the issue of age post ITA. Please check the section on Changes to your personal situation (page 2)

"NOTE- If you had a birthday since we sent you this invitation, and the changes to your age decreases your points total, this will not cause us to refuse your application for permanent residence'.

Please focus on submitting your applications and be happy. grin
