TayserMahiri: First bank and others use Mpesa or whatever you call it too right? My point is we don't really use mobile money cause it has lots of limitation and it's not stress free unlike our mobile banking. Mobile money is there if you wish to use it and I do use it when I run out of data too. Please stop talking about things you don't know. If you feel so jobless learn about Nigeria better before jumping to conclusion.

Nigerian always rule Kenya anytime. You need to wonder why our banks are buying up Kenyan banks. How will you bring something not up to our standard and expect it to grow? 1 Like

I have noticed hw these Kenyan folks take so much interest in our country to the extent that they know the xteristics of the different parts of our country. I think it shows the level of low self-esteem they got that they spend their whole life browsing about Naija just like Africans browse all day about the USA. They wish they were born Nigerians . 3 Likes |

iblawi: I had to highlight the ambiguity, but I don't want to dwell on that. I have seen E-tranzact and I must confess I have never heard of it. Its snail pace growth must be due to CBN's fear. This is a funny one, I must stress on it. Nonetheless, I hope E-tranzact follows in the footsteps of M-Pesa, towards becoming a global mobile wallet. |

Maduawuchukwu: You browse all day about USA? You better stop because soon you will be in a ship somewhere in the Mediterranean trying to flee naija. We don't take so much interest in Naija, but surely when I see a nigerian in the news arrested almost every day for some reason be it drugs or other crime, I must want to know what problems exist back in their home country that they are such experts in crime! 3 Likes |

O0XYGEN: At least you get to hear now. Its in Ghana as well, I'm sure it will get to you soon. The thing spreads like a meme. You get one, and everyone around gets it, and those around them as well. Within no time everyone has one. Do you guys have other forms/types of mobile money? that you use maybe. Great to see even Bill Gates recognizes the power of mobile money. In Kenya, about half of the GDP passes through M-Pesa. Banks have no otherwise but to link to m-pesa, no matter how big, or international they are. Not to sound like a braggart but the last time I touched real money (paper money/coins) must have been months ago. I keep money in m-pesa and pay for everything through the phone. All my transactions with banks I do them in the comfort of my house, with the phone. 2 Likes |

Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by iblawi(m): 10:16am On Apr 07, 2017 |
sHOTdownHawk: First ask people if we use MTN mobile money? It was never successful because even the banks have better and more convenient ways of doing mobile transaction. By the way, ask people from countries with adequate banking infrastructure and they will tell you it's not as widely used like proper mobile banking. I only use mobile money when am out of data and the service is provided by our local banks not mpesa. The only advantage mobile money have over mobile banking is that is that it doesn't require Internet connection and even a touch light phone can send money. Any phone that can make call and send sms can be used for mobile money. But, why should Nigerians border about this? When recent statistics shows over 150 million lines are active in Nigeria as at March 2017 with most of them being smart phones. http://www.nigerianwatch.com/150-million-telephone-lines-active-in-nigeria/ |
