NOC 1111 is better and more suitable because most of the functions are in line with it. NOC 1311 is majorly a bookkeeper/Accounting technician category and generally, a bookkeeper does not prepare financial statements, review FS, or even deal with proper recording of fixed assets (maybe they do in our country sha, lol). I would suggest you go for NOC 1111 which is higher and better than NOC 1311 and more align with the job descriptions below. Both categories are under the required skill level 0, A or B anyways so you should be fine. Congrats @40manlappy and others! Moving on to the next step! Chinnie4Jesus: 2 Likes |

olugere: Most of us here and even the majority of people getting ITA do not have those points you mentiined. I'm yet to enter the pool (waiting for IELTS) but my estimated crs score ranges from 441 to 458 depending on how well I smash IELTS. Do not be discouraged. With your age and msc degree, you should be able to get 435 at least, if you smash your ielts. Since your wife is younger, she may turn out to have a higher score than you. I suggest you use the crs calculator on the cic website. That way, you know what your scores are likely to be. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Hello guru's in the house, Can i use my brother in-law, who by the way shares only his father with my wife,as a "relative in Canada"? bearing in mind , he didn't indicate my wife as a sister in his express entry profile. Secondly what will the authorities demand from him in proving/ supporting this claim. |

Good evening everyone!! Congratulations to all that received ITA yesterday!! We aim to be like you soon Please I need an advice. We did an online accessment and with my husband as the principal applicant. I'm a doctor and I know that even if IQAS assess' me now I'll still be assessed by medical council in Canada. So with my IQAS assessment, hubby would have liked 459points ie with our ielts result but with my own it would be 469. Do u think I should go ahead and get assessed by IQAS and get assessed again by medical council or I should not do it? Thanks 1 Like 1 Share |

Please don't get your Medical degree assessed by any evaluating body other than Medical Council of Canada. See the link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp If you want to be the principal applicant, you will need to evaluate your degree through MCC (physiciansapply.ca) and the process/final evaluation usually takes longer than IQAS, WES etc. Lochinny: |

I will have a total of 420 points when my ECA comes out but waiting for my spouse to get his ECA and IELTS which should jump me up to over 445. The challenge is that his passport has expired and although, he's applied for a new passport, we heard there's no passport material and no one knows when they'll get a new batch. Until the passport comes, he can't apply to write IELTS. Would you advice that we enter the pool and update when he gets his ECA and IELTS or should I wait until we get everything and enter the pool with a more substantial point? Thanks for your prompt responses so far. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by 40manlappy: 5:38am On Apr 07, 2017 |
yimiton: I suggest that you "dive" into the pool immediately your ECA arrives. You can update your EE profile anytime your spouse gets ECA and IELTS results. When is your ECA likely to be out? Nobody can tell what the cutoff of the next draw would be. What if the next one or the one after it is 420, just saying. IRCC has been unpredictable lately. Send me a PM on the UNILAG contact issue if it has not been sorted. @optionese: Congrats on your ECA. Update sharply! |

Not sure I understand your question... Do you mean you and your husband have a score of 459 without your evaluation? If so and if he's the principal applicant, you do not need to evaluate your degree. Your score is enough to get you ITA for your family. Lochinny: |

Please how did you apply, did you go online to fill yourself or settled an agent, asking cos I spoke to someone yesterday who confirmed that paper is scarce but one can still get the passport if you go through them. Anyone with a recent experience of using an agent? yimiton: |

So I got my IELTS result today and I have the following: Listening 8.5 Reading 9.0 Speaking 8.0 Writing 7.0 The writing has brought my score down to 426 instead of the maximum 429. Any need to appeal the result particularly as am not ready to enter the pool (awaiting evaluation)? 2 Likes |

Bimpsy99:He applied and paid online but after his experience in the passport office, he said it would have been better to pay someone in the passport office to handle it. It's been time wasting, being sent from one office to another, being told to settle one person or another, being told to fill forms even after correctly filling it online etc. He's gone 2ce and still not been able to do biometrics. |
