Rohr Hints – QPR Wonderboy Eze & Sunderland Super Teen Maja Lined Up For Eagles Debut Next Month Gernot Rohr has dropped a big hint suggesting the Anglo Nigerian duo of Ebere Eze and Josh Maja are most likely going to make their Super Eagles debut next month. Rohr revealed plans are underway for some young players to be handed their debut next month, when the Eagles play two test games which falls outside the FIFA window in France. Eze and Maja who are on the books of QPR and Sunderland respectively joined up with the Eagles during their camping exercise in London last week, with Eze taking part in a practice game among the players. The coach who is aware that he won’t be privilege to have the full compliment of his senior and regular players for the game also revealed he would call players who will start their holidays next month. ” Some of the players will finish their league season at the beginning of May, some middle of May and we cannot allow them to go for holiday for three weeks and later ask them to come to camp ahead of the game against South Africa. ” We have a programme to work together as a team. We have arranged for camping in France and we have been invited for some friendly ganes, although it’s not FIFA window. We have some young players who we need to look at and also some of them that have finished their season in Europe”. * Prince Michael owngoalnigeria.com/2017/04/06/rohr-hints-qpr-wonderboy-eze-sunderland-super-teen-maja-lined-up-for-eagles-debut-next-month/ 1 Like |

England U19 Star Edun Produces Impressive Display For Fulham In Narrow Loss To USA U20s Tayo Edun and Elijah Adebayo were in action for Fulham U23s squad in their narrow 1-0 loss to United States U20s in a friendly on Wednesday afternoon at Motspur Park. The Americans have set up a training camp in London ahead of the 2017 Fifa U20 World Cup in South Korea. England U19 star Edun produced an impressive performance for the entire duration of the game, making several passes to his teammates, while Adebayo subbed out with 20 minutes to play. Estoril striker Stephen Payne came on for the Americans in the second half. USA U20s broke the deadlock in the 20 minute through their number nine, who beat the Fulham goalkeeper with a shot from the edge of the area. Promising Nigerian Striker On Song Against Scottish Champions Celtic In Paradise Promising Nigerian striker Adebayo Azeez rescued a point for Partick Thistle as they came from behind to hold Scottish champions Celtic to a 1-1 draw at Celtic Park on Wednesday night. The 23-year-old flicked home a cross by Elliot in the 64th minute to earn a share of the spoils for Alan Archibald’s side after the home team had opened the scoring five minutes after the restart. Azeez was very delighted to score his second league goal that he was booked by referee Aitken for his excessive celebration. Born in London, the attacker had stops with Charlton Athletic, Wycombe Wanderers, Leyton Orient, Torquay United, Dagenham & Redbridge and AFC Wimbledon before joining The Jags last summer. He has three caps for England U19 team which came in friendly matches against Faroe Islands, Ukraine and Finland. Ifeanyi Emmanuel allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=22626 1 Like |

Aston Villa Return To England Without Scouting Hannover Brightest Prospect Noah Bazee Super Eagles hopeful Noah Bazee missed an opportunity to display his wares to representatives of EFL Championship side Aston Villa last Saturday. Scouts in Attendance via Twitter has claimed that Aston Villa director of football Steve Round and scout Tony Coton were believed to have watched the 2 Bundesliga match between Hannover and Union Berlin. Hannover striker Bazee was not considered for the game after worsening his knee injury while training with the Super Eagles in London, and also missed the following game against Nürnberg. Speculation is rife that the 20-year-old may depart the Lower Saxony club in the summer as he has yet to sign the new contract that he has been offered. Aston Villa pay the wages of striker Gabriel Agbonlahor and young goalkeeper Emmanuel Idem. Ifeanyi Emmanuel allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=22628 |

TheSuperNerd: Nolito is a senior player of Spain. So he will most likely get a nod ahead of Nacho. That does not change the fact that he ims not getting game time as he deserves. |

It also doesn't change the fact that Nolito still sees game time at all compared to Nacho who is no more on matchday squads... not even an ounce of encouragement for him.... week in, week out... he is missing from matchday squads... And Iheanacho is also a senior player of Nigeria... or is he not one of the super eagles' most important players? TheGoodJoe: 2 Likes |

English Football League clubs will have to name at least one "club-developed" player in their matchday squads from the start of the 2018-19 season. A club-developed player is defined as one who has been registered to the club for at least a year before the end of his under-19 season. The new rules were agreed following a meeting of all 72 EFL clubs. "I am confident that this decision will have a positive and lasting impact," said EFL chief executive Shaun Harvey. "It is imperative that we provide young players not only with a platform, but also with the belief that opportunities will be made available to progress from youth to senior football." Teams have previously had to include six home-grown players, defined as those registered with a club in England or Wales for three seasons, or 36 months, before their 21st birthday. http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39517843 Hehheheehhe this is nice. Pinnick thanks all as more world citizens congratulate him By The NFF President of Nigeria Football Federation, Mr. Amaju Melvin Pinnick has formally expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Federal Government of Nigeria, the NFF Executive Committee, President of the Senate, Speaker of the House of Representatives, the NFF Congress, Members of the Senate Committee on Sports, Members of the House of Reps’ Committee and several other individuals and groups for their support towards his recent election as a Member of the CAF Executive Committee. The Member of the Organizing Committee for FIFA Competitions returned to Nigeria few days ago ahead of a special thanksgiving service in Warri this weekend, and to attend to important issues in Nigeria football before heading to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup (starting in The Bahamasin three weeks), from where he will fly to Bahrain for the 67thFIFA Congress early next month. “I cannot possibly express appreciation to everyone and groups who gave me ample support. However, I must very specially thank President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR), Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (GCON), Senate President Bukola Saraki (CON), the Speaker of the House (Most Honourable Yakubu Dogara, CFR), Sports Minister Solomon Dalung, Chairman and Members of the Senate Committee on Sports, Chairman and Members of the House Committee on Sports and of course, the NFF Congress. Chairman of the Senate Committee, Senator Obinna Ogba was personally present at the elections in Ethiopia. “I also want to specially thank the Governors of Delta, Lagos, Edo and Cross River States (Their Excellencies Ifeanyi Okowa, Akinwunmi Ambode, Godwin Obaseki and Ben Ayade, respectively), the Minister of State for Petroleum (Dr. Ibe Kachikwu), the Director General of Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (Dr. Dakuku Peterside), eminent newspaper columnists, respected sports editors, sports managers, reporters and correspondents and indeed everyone who played a role to see to the actualization of the dream. “I want to assure everyone that I harbour no ill –feeling towards anyone who did not outrightly give their support. People have asked me about the members of CAF committees who spoke against my aspiration, and I have replied that they are highly –experienced administrators and we cannot wish away their experience and institutional knowledge.” Pinnick insists that the landmark feat, which makes him only the third Nigerian in CAF Executive Committee, and the appointment into one of world football’s most important committees, will not becloud his vision and that of the present NFF Board to build a sustainable football culture for Nigeria. “Now, we have a voice in African football politics, and we can play some role in world football. However, we remain committed to taking Nigeria football to new heights of excellence and we intend to put everything into the qualification campaigns for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals. “We are also working hard to tackle the issue of funding, by interfacing with Nigeria corporates to convince many more of them to embrace strategic partnership with the Nigeria game.” Meanwhile, more congratulatory messages have landed on Pinnick’s desk following the victory in Addis Ababa, the latest coming from the presidents of Egyptian Football Association and the Federation Burkinabe de Football. In his message, FBF boss, Colonel Sita Sangare wrote: “Following your brilliant election as African member of the executive committee of CAF during the CAF Congress held on the 16thof March in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), I would like, on behalf of the Football Association of Burkina Faso and on my own behalf to send you my warmest congratulations. “I am very confident that your rich experience will be highly beneficial to the development of African football. I therefore wish you full success in your duty.” EFA president Hany Abo Rida, who is a Member of the FIFA Council, wrote: “On behalf of the EFA president, board members and the executive manager, we have the pleasure to send you our best greetings for the confidence of the CAF general assembly and your success at the CAF election as CAF executive committee member. “This confidence expresses the will of the CAF general assembly, which contributes to develop the level of the game in the African continent and co-operation between CAF and its affiliated federations in order to serve the African football.” www.thenff.com/2017/04/pinnick-thanks-all-as-more-world-citizens-congratulate-him/ |

Wilfred Ndidi denies Man United link, says 'I'm 200 percent with Leicester' Wilfred Ndidi has emphatically stated his commitment to Leicester City in denying a report linking him to Manchester United. A Nigerian report had cited a person claiming to be Ndidi's agent as saying the 20-year-old would be open to a move if Jose Mourinho came calling. But after the story spread to English news outlets, Ndidi said he did not know the purported agent, writing on Twitter: The Mirror had reported earlier this week that United as well as Arsenal could be in line to lure Ndidi away from Leicester. The Nigeria international signed for the Foxes in January from Belgian side Genk, and his performances have played a part in their rise up the Premier League table to mid-table safety. He could be a fit for Mourinho's side with 35-year-old Michael Carrick nearing the twilight of his career, but for now he's left little doubt about his place with Leicester. Ndidi has the support of his manager as well, with Craig Shakespeare this week praising Leicester's recruitment department for landing the midfielder for a reported £17 million. "We did a lot of homework on him and I think we were one of the first clubs, if not the first, to show an interest in him," Shakespeare said. "I think he, and his family and agent, remembered that so we were in the driving seat. When other clubs came in for him he remembered the way we went about it first. He had other options. "From what you're seeing so far, we've got a good player on our hands." Follow @ESPNFC on Twitter to keep up with the latest football updates. |

TheGoodJoe:please sir stop this thing... it is annoying the way you keep defending this coach....to the extent even sir Joseph once said..it's like you share same bed with pep... it is crystal clear...that pep has no plans for nacho what's the essence of training so hard and still be out of the match day squad...so he should keep training hard to impress the difficult to please coach you don't need to do all that to please a manager who believes in you...some persons just can't be pleased no matter how hard you try..... nacho gets to this level he is all by hard work...the young man has fought tirelessly to get this level he never got it on a plate of gold.... pep is simply a selfish coach...if you don't want the young man in your team loan him out... I will.blame rohr should this continue next season... because should he begin to bench nacho or not extending a call to him will make him and his father to begin to think that this situation really need to be looked into.. he must be smart to ask for a loan move during the summer... 3 Likes |
