In my own case, all five fingers plus wrist if not more were inserted. Fear dey even catch me just recalling it. I think we just have to prep our minds for it. I'll still ask my doctor if it's really necessary to have the sweep as I won't mind skipping it.

Mamas membrane sweep isn't that bad joor, where it can be very painful is if its done with your very first vag examination or if the Gynae fingers are gigantic but relief comes as soon as possible. Kpele, the most important thing is your baby in your arms.

After all the walking I did yesterday around Eko market, still not even one sign of labour. Who said these things even work, I'm about to give up.

My Doc said yest that I'd do scan next week and if the baby is up to 4kg it's an automatic cs. Then he felt the baby with his hands and said she felt like a small baby. I hope those scan machines cooperate next week sha cuz they can lie.

I don't know much about the excercises but you can ask google. Accidentally peeing yourself while pregnant I think is sha normal, ive seen so many people complain about that.

When you are urinating, don't let all the urine out at once. Let it flow for 3-4secs then hold it for a bit .count 1-20 or more if you like, then release the urine again for another few secs and then hold it again and repeat counting..if you do that for 3-4 times each time you are urinating, you will be able to know where your pelvis is...that part of your body you are trying to hold back your urine is your pelvis. When you do that repeatedly you are learning to strengthen it....once you can do it well to identify it, at other times of the day when you not urinating, try holding it up too while breathing in and out. Count and release it again. You can do it while sitting or standing. Do it as many times as possible. ...

Prepare your mind for the worst dear and hope for the best. You might be one of the lucky few that only feel slight discomfort when it is being done.
As for me, I screamed!!! Even my Dr was shocked . Good morning.

am a bit worried after my doc said i may be considered for CS due to previous history of giving birth tru cesarean. he explained vividly the reasons why and medically its to prevent unlikely complications like uterine rupture or foetal distress.

don't worry urself too much sis esp if u're convinced by his explanations. you may seek a second opinion though to corroborate him or rule out any underlying condition dt cld necessitate a repeat CS; in all, one can't teach them their job&d good ending of bringing forth another life safely is d goal.

That's my fear too...4 weeks ago scan gave me 2.7 and anoda gave me 3.2 so I CNT wait again abeg...been eating carbs oo bcs that's the only fin me can eat oo...I no dey veggie lane...
But who knws maybe the membrane sweep is what u need.... na wa oo this one wey no April mama don cm sama BA...

Me I lost 2kg when my weight was checked yest, I wonder why. I still eat my carbs, sugar and all.

Thanks, let me go and read, I want enough liver to walk into the hospital next week (40 weeks) and ask for a membrane sweep

Please mamas help me torchlight this matter, how is it possible for baby to weight 1.91 at 30weeks and 1.07 at 36 weeks? cos me i dont just gerrit, felt like the sonographer does not know how to measure....and yet my weight isn't reducing instead increasing at weekly check ups.( I have added between 20-22kg)

I dont like surprises at all before i will be told later that baby is much bigger than expected.

N.B the scans were done at different places, that of 36weeks was done at General Hospital while the other was done elsewhere.
