What school please?

Have you paid for the shipping and where you given a tracking number.....because if it taking a month that would mean it has not been shipped ... then that a different conversation .

Go back to the school and clarify the exact status and if its been shipped, ask for the tracking number and track to see delivery date....eship global is not cheap so it is trackable online with an ETA ...... What if its been delivered and someone else signed for it

Thank You, for taking out time to respond.

I have paid for the shipping, and per your instruction, I have contacted the school requesting for the tracking number.

Thank You once again.

Please get intouch with their office of international admission and demand for explanation as you have to start preparing for your visa application. If you don't get your I20 by April Ending, you should defer the admission or apply to another school if you can (as a backup plan). Some schools are still accepting application for fall

Thank You very much.
I have sent an email to the international admission office, demanding for an updated explanation on the I-20 delivery status.

Thank You, for taking out time to help with your suggestion.

Pls how much does the shipping cost, and what service do you think is most affordable and reliable?

LagosismyHome:

E shipping is expensive for what they provide but most schools tend to use it... it like $110 or so range. Don't have the exact figure . ...but when you pay you have the option to pick dhl , fedex or ups as the shipper

Here i have seen advice that if you have someone in the usa. You can ask the school to send it to that person for free and then the person can send it to you using USPS Express service for half of that $110 .

Most are reliable as long as they have online tracking service so you can monitor it and you are advice in advance ETA. (estimated time of arrival..)

I also saw this @ bolded ...i resulted to that when I had issues pwaying(paypal issue)... I presume the free shipping within US depend on the proximity because I was required to pay $33 dollar to ship within US.....despite that it seems some Uni don't allow that e.g Idaho state Uni...
To be on safe side inform you Uni about your decision shipping to someone with US so they don't send you send wrong document.

@ fredoricko, Please how can i schedule a mock exam with Gurus in the house, am also going for Undergraduate course at ETSU have been given admission letter and my i-20 has been sent which will arrive next week according to the tracking number. Please i need mock interview with gurus in the house. kindly get back to me as soon as you can.. Thanks!

Congratulations on your admission.
No one can tell you if you'll be given or not. What we can do is assist you with your application to make sure it's airtight. I believe all you need to know is on this thread and previous ones. Go through interview transcripts, get used to the line of questioning you'll encounter, mentally prepare appropriate responses so you'd not be caught unaware. If possible schedule mock interview with gurus on the thread.
It doesn't really matter if you're 17 or 27, as long as you're able to prove that you're a genuine student who really wanna study, you're good to go. Meanwhile hope you've not been academically idle since your high school diploma?
I hope you have the funds to pay your tuition and also sustain yourself there..It's expensive. BTW Findlay is also one of the schools agents sometimes recommend. I hope this is not the case in your situation.

Thanks for your response,i was the guy who sent you PM. For the rejection, it was based on visiting and I was giving the 214(b) blue paper. The first was through and agent(2012) before I entered Uni. While the last two was to attend my brother's wedding. I have a diploma in performing and media arts from Pefti and a Bachelor's of Art in Theatre and Media Arts. Did my internships at NTA, Ait and other private film companies. Im workongbas a production manager since Oct later years after my grad. New York film academy is one of the best film schools in US where pple like Stephnie Okereke, Jungle Afolayan, bank w, Dr. Sid , producer of Ije and Kemi Adetiba ( Director or Wedding Party, all studied .Seeing these people's works, i fell on love with the schools that's why I wish to do my Masters there. Just want to do it right that's why I came to make enquiries.
You're appreciated

LagosismyHome:

I dint know if someone can give you an advice fully...(without a full transcrip ) .... we dont know the full history behind these rejections.. it could be through an agent and inconsistencies were posted or it could be just lack of home ties or many things...so to answer your exact question. Yes your previous can be looked at for sure. .....

If you been rejected several times then maybe you need to chill first and not try america in a while. Everytime you go to the VO. They pull up your history and i dont know what they are seeing. ........ although there have been others who were rejected several times and finally given. It does happen but nobody can predict that for you

Also what was ur undegrad in or work experience...is it in media film....and is this school in NY a properly accredited institutions/university. For someone who been rejected multiple time then if you are going for a degree it has to be a credible school to enhance your credibilty ......

Am always wary of agents. So did this agent fill something you know is false? I'm sure you read through the application before it was submitted. Because if there is a contrasting info in your first and subsequent applications, then its not a good situation at all.

While I allow Lagosismyhome to enlighten and/or orientate you, Please be honest with yourself and quickly delete the bolded as a "reason" for wanting to go to NYFA, That is so so not a good reason and I hope you are not planning to say such when you make it to the front of the VO.

Lol, Def not.. I'm not planning to say such. I just made ref to that when Lagosismyhome talked about how credible d school is, so I tried making ref to Nigerians doing well in film who attended the school. I really appreciate you .

Thanksnfor your response.. the 2012 app the agent did then wasn't cool, to be honest .cos he filled that I was working on a coy, which wasn't true. That's the only false info there. Just looking for a way to make things right . But the app of 2015 and 2016dec(more than a year now) was to attend my brother's wedding. I did applied after my mom was granted. I believe people make mistakes and there should be rooms for atonement. Pls, what can I really do? Cos I'm going to study for real.
Just like a friend who was caught for fake Dubai visa 2013, he apppied every 6months but was later granted Dec 2015. His story made me know that anyone can be grant and past forgiven if he/she has good intension.
I'm saying all this cos I need a way out, thayz why I came to the house ... Abeg, make una help..
Note: no docs was asked then.

I am not a VO, but with a brief analytic view of your story, I'll advise you to give it some time before applying for a US visa for now as it may portray some desperation. Maybe try to get some work experience, travel history (travel to other places and come back if you can), get some activities done while time flies; then you can apply for US VISA like a VO advised you

abujaniv:
Hello DimmyCho. Yours is an unfortunate story that we hear all too often. Believe it or not, being denied a visa is not at all the worst that can happen if you submit or utter false information at the Embassy. You could get a lifetime ban from travel to the US or even arrested on the spot. It's just not worth it. As it is, you have badly damaged your credibility, and it's no use blaming an agent.

We talk a lot about ties, but credibility is the overarching quality in a good visa applicant. Once in the US, nobody will be watching your every move, so we have to be able to trust that you will obey the rules. When people betray that trust, they rarely get a second chance. The best thing is to let some time pass, and apply again when you think your ties are stronger. If asked, be forthright about the previous misrepresentation. It will make a big difference.

DimmyCho:
Hello VO, 2012, an agent convinced me to apply for visa with phoney work info( I wasn't in University then). I later got into University and my brother went to America for studies and got married to a Nigerian there. He sent me and IV for the wedding (Dec 2015) I got rejected (This time applying without lies. I replied Jan 2016, I stil got rejected. I'm confused about what to do as I have realised my mistake and now a graduate with potentials. I just want to visit and come back or go for masters. I don't want my 2012 ( agent application) to affect me again.
Pls, what can I do? I need help..

good afternoon house
Straight to my question, I have attended VISA interview 4 times between last year and this year, F1 visa to be precise but VOs keep telling the school that gave me admission is not a standard school and people who choose that school don't actually go to school, which is against my own motive, I actually wanted to go to school and study but then in order not to waste my time I applied to another school in Kentucky and my admission. Was granted yesterday waiting for my i20 to be shipped all necessary fee settled, here is my question ? On that admission letter I was told I have been accepted for masters in business administration but as a post baccalaureate student, and that I have to do foundation courses ? Please what does that word means and hope this wouldn't affect my chance of getting visa in next interview ? As I guess I already demonstrated my will to attend school and have my MBA and be back to this country immediately am done I have better opportunities waiting behind for me here. And would it be stated on my i20 as well that am a post baccalaureate student as for now? Honest answers without abuse would be welcomed
Thanks

The school should have outlined the guidelines in your admission letter or follow up emails. They didn't? Then it's best to ask them which courses and where you can take them.
In my case, they explained everything to me with deadlines

I was told when I arrived for orientation I would be shown by supervisor who would in turn give me updates on courses and fix time up for me to attend foundation classes but on my admission letter I was admitted into masters degree in business administration, when I was filling the form I choose business administration/Human Resources management I guess that was why I have to attend foundation class and all, because am a grDuate of management and accounting ( undergraduate) so was wondering what foundation class again ? , moreover does conditional admission guarantees VISA? Or let me put it this way does VOs give visa to students with conditional admission ? Did you have same conditional admission? Because you talked about foundation classes as well

The reason for the foundation course is because u are not admissible to the MBA programme yet so u need those foundation courses before u can be enrolled for the MBA programme.

before getting worried about wether VOs grant visa or not, wait and recieve ur i20 to know what exactly will be stated on the course of study column. Maybe they said foundation course on ur admission letter, they may not state it on the i20 so the VO wont even know. So just get the i20 and check the course of study.
No I dont have conditional admission, I just googled about "post baccalaureate students"
