I repeat, Fabian Delph was not the player we saw against Chelsea. I am a City fan and watched most of Delph's games, including his preseason games. He was not special. He was never the player to put Yaya, Fernando or Fernandinho. Today, he is first on my list. That is a big jump.

You have read Fabian Delph's words. You want to argue with him.

I believe you read Pelegrini's opinion about Delph after his signing. If you had watched him at Aston Villa enough, you wouldn't be this surprised about his performance the other night. He has always been a good midfield player.
I have seen him dominate games while at Aston Villa

U can suger coat it all u want but playing Sterling at striker instead of Iheanacho is a slap in the face to all of us, even u.
In all the cases u have mentioned there were no other options, Sterling can never be an option because he cannot convert shi shi.
At best Pep is being arrogant when he leaves his only other striker off the bench. U need to follow us and think of the bigger picture which is Russia. At this moment some coaches would not invite him.

That is from your perspective. Never was that a slap. Did Pellegrini slap me when he played Milner ahead of Iheanacho or has Milner ever played that role before? Sterling played top nine in some games for Liverpool and scored some cracking goals.

I have a flexible mindset of the game and give room for the coaches ideas.

As I said before, I a deep passion for Iheanacho. If you get that, you will know that I am thinking of what is best for Iheanacho, not defending Guardiola as you guys make it.

Not the wa he did that night. Against Chelsea, he was special Delph has not played that way before. It was a total transformation. I now want to see more of Delph. He is now a brilliant midfielder when it comes to controlling the game.

I have never looked forward to seeing Delph.

Tottenham were always gonna be the winners of that game mehn.... Heung min Son showing he is a good son indeed... grin He is on fire.... smiley

Success was making his first start for Watford in a while (bearing in mind his recent fitness struggles) so I won't say I am much perturbed... he is back and hopefully he picks up. But seriously, Walter Mazzari is killing Watford.... enough said..

Meanwhile in other news... the philosophical one thought it wise today to at least name Nacho on the bench....

Iheanacho makes the bench today against Hull City... let's see if he will get to play.... **arms folded and watching**

this is absolutely sentimental! Ighalo lost form before Flores left, so you expect Maziri to continue playing him despite his bad form? Actually he kept on playing him yet he didn't improve

agreed he Ws out of form before, but under WALTER wat was his position

Iwobi had more of that and dipped in form. Ighalo too. So game time is not a guarantee. What game time shows is how good you are. What I am after is Iheanacho improving in quality. Then seek where to show the quality. Whether at City or another place.
if iwobi was not playing how will you know his form?

Milner never played on the same team as Iheanacho in the EPL. Milner can actually score regularly unlike Sterling who we all know is not a goal scorer.

You got to be kidding me. You think Oliseh got to his position as a Super Sport analyst and a FIFA accredited analyst by not knowing about talent. Na wa.

So being a Super Sports analyst makes you an expert in evaluating talents, eh?

It's funny because some folks made that argument when some of us opposed making him the Super Eagles coach.
They told us that Oliseh would be a good coach because he was a good game analyst on TV.
Well, we all saw how that played out.

Note: I also saw this story carried by ESPN..... well... that is it shaa....

.......................................................................................................

Everton Ademola Lookman Tells Gernot Rohr – I Want To Play For England Not Nigeria

Nigeria have been dealt a serious blow in their quest to lure Everton rising star Ademola Lookman to switch allegiance to the senior national team of Nigeria.

Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has succeeded in luring players of Nigerian descent born abroad to pledge their future to the Nigerian team but Lookman has turned down his approach.

While Ola Aina and Chuba Akpom have given their words to Rohr about representing Nigeria, Lookman who is also a youth international for England has confirmed his commitment to the Three Lions of England.

Lookman told Dan Ashworth, the FA’s director of elite development, that he wants to play for England despite interest from Nigeria.

He hopes to represent England at the U-21 European Championship, and also has high hopes that he will gate crash coach Gareth Southgate senior side before the World Cup 2018 in Russia.

Good but no so good to see Iheanacho getting a run-out only because City were having a comfortable lead.

If this match was City 1-0 Hull, I doubt if Pep would throw Nacho in....
Again, Pep may now return him to the drilling and philosophy classes again.... I really don't like how Pep is handling this super talent called Nacho...

I am still not convinced.... angry

Flying Eagles Star Orji Okonkwo Fires Hattrick For Bologna Against Cagliari

The fine form of Nigeria youth international Orji Okonkwo at Serie A side Bologna continued as he fired a hattrick for the Primavera side to fire them past Cagliari 4-1.

Okonkwo restored parity for his side in the 53rd minute via the spot before adding another one minute later to put his side 2-1 up going into the half time break.

He grabbed his hattrick Three minutes after the hour mark via the spot once again before he was substituted six minutes later to a rounding applause.

The hattrick takes his goal tally for the Primavera side to 13 this season, with 9 of the goals coming in 12 youth league games while 4 came in the prestigious Viareggio Championship.

Talk Of Ukraine Dennis “Nigerian Neymar” Bonaventure Eager To Hear From Gernot Rohr

Highly rated Nigerian forward Dennis Bonaventure who has taken the league in Ukraine this season with fine performances for Zorya has declared himself ready for Super Eagles action.

Nicknamed “Nigerian Neymar” the former Football Acadey Abuja prospect has found the back of the net four from 14 games in what is his first season as a professional player in Ukraine.

Bonaventure believed the experience he has gained this season by playing in the Europa League and the domestic league has prepared him for the arduous task of playing for the Nigeria national team.

”I have no doubt about my abilities, hence I’m ready if the coach calls me up. The experience i gained by playing against the likes of Manchester United and top teams in the league have increased my confidence level”, Dennis told Owngoalnigeria.com.

”If the coach calls me up, I’m ready to contribute my quote, every Nigerian player dreams of wearing the national team colours. In the past have not been fortunate with the youth teams but I believe my experience will be different with the Eagles”.

Continue.

“Fabian has tremendous skill and energy and the fact that he has become a regular member of the England squad is further evidence of his progress over the past few seasons. At just 25 years old he still has his best years ahead of him.”...... Pelegrini

In the current way Delph plays, the keyword clearly missing is sleek. Energetic and skillful is totally different from owning the midfield with intelligent control, sleek passes and awareness.

Ilechukwu : MFM Style Of Play Will Impress Rohr[/b
[b]By Izuchukwu Okosi

Mountain of Fire and Miracles FC coach, Fidelis Ilechukwu, is anxiously looking forward to Sunday's Nigeria Professional Football League Matchday 18 match between his team and El-Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri at Agege Stadium Lagos as Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rhor is set to grace the venue and watch both sides, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Ilechukwu spoke to Completesportsnigeria.com on Saturday as the Lagos side intensified preparation for the match.

"We are good to go. We hope that the national team coach, Gernot Rhor, will like our style of football. I am confident that my boys will be 'charged up' for the match knowing that El-Kanemi currently have a slight edge over us (goal difference)," Ilechukwu enthused.

"Gernot Rhor means well for Nigerian football apparently, and his decision to watch some NPFL matches shows that the home-based players can surely make the Super Eagles 'Team A'. He (Rhor) will love the match tomorrow.

"We all expect a good match, but I have told the players to be focused and continue playing as a unit. When your time to be in the national team comes, no one will stop you," Ilechukwu revealed further.

MFM are third in the table with 30 points, same as their guests, but Ladan Bosso's team have a superior goal difference of +6 as against MFM's +3.

MFM FC have the leading goal scorer in the NPFL, Stephen Odey, who currently has 13 goals to his credit.
