My experienced living in Northern Nigeria.
I am not here to bash any tribe or trying to cause tribal attack but to state my experiences living in Northern part of Nigeria in order to help anyone coming to Northern part of the country for the first time, because life in the Sothern part is totally different to that of Northern part.
1. Hausa people believed that their language and culture is superior to yours, as a result they expect you to understand their language by all means.
2. Able to speak Hausa language can get you solve some issues as a student in school, or get favors in public establishments.
3. No matter who you are, religion is one of the factor in dealing with you, they consider their tribe, religion above merit.
4. No matter how religious you are as a Muslim, if you are not Hausa/Fulani they can never pray behind you as a Imam. There are many Hausa/Fulani mosques and other tribes’ mosques in the same location they pray separately at the same time at the same location.
5. Hausa/Fulani houses are out of bound (BAA SHIGA), as a visitor you can’t enter, you must make a big shout or send a little kid to call whoever you want to see.
6. If you must attend Hausa/Fulani occasion eat before you leave your house, because food may not be serve, or serve without meat and spoon, this is the standard to both rich and middle class Northerners.
7. Hausa/Fulani married women doesn’t greet men, even if you are their neighbor, in short greeting is not important. Your Neighbor’s children can hardly greet you.
8. As a teacher you don’t dare beat their children in school, if you try it the parent will come and flog you, school authority either private or public will do nothing about it.
9. Northerner support their fellow Northerners even when wrong, you can never get justice even at their courts as a southerners.
10. Life in Northern part can be boring, but chances of getting private organization job is not competitive like southern part. Northerners love govt jobs, they see private organization jobs as stressful and demanding.
11. Northerners hardly school outside their region, they mostly redeploy back to North during NYSC scheme.

my experience staying in lagos ten years(southern nigeria heartland)
most people dont have proper houses ,it either face me i face u or they sleep outside under the fly over in shanties near the beach
they are alway in a hurry to no where (hustling to go and sleep in tiny rooms)
very aggressive and fight over 10 naira
u carry your plate in the restaurant and they stair at meat in soup like hungry vampires
most of their girl are run babes very cheap to sleep with them
guys are busy gambling there live najia bet and baba ijebu all day
all there hustling end up in the evening in drinking joint and kaikai
tatoo is the raining thing
dead yellow buses with plank sit that never close doors
smelly passenger
bike too expensive
girl here see nudeness as fashion with yam legs fake hair ,eye lashes ,wigs and bleach skin
they wake up by 5 am to go to work like slaves
they wear coat in hot humid town in danfo
they are generally fake owning g wagons in rented apartment
buying just bread in shoprite na war
sex is too cheap
they bath outside
not ashamed to pee with there dick staring everwhere
they make high noise pollution from there churches
they pay all there money as tithe to jet cruising pastor
