Who told you flair and imagination is sleekness? You can run from pillar to post. I have simplified it for you. Delph is moving from a Rakitic style of play to a Busquets style of play. This change has improved him. It is like Onazi trying to play like Mikel.

The concept is too simple. Either you learn or keep googling articles. That article proved nothing. You can see the hammer on energetic runs. That is what Guardiola is cancelling.

If you like, keep arguing.

Too much of Man city blogging have rubbed off on you in the wrong way. You no longer watch football from what it is but you watch football from Man city perspective.
Apparently, you're saying a player can be sleeky without having flair and imagination?! ... I am not shocked. I've seen you post more shocking things to defend Guardiola. That's the classic TheGoodJoe speaking.

I had to google an interview of his former coach just so you understand Delph didn't suddenly develop flair and skills from the teachings of Guardiola.
You sint disappoint me by coming up with more laughable stuff to support your Guardiola veneration.

If we are debating on something and you watched it, it is okay googling articles to support the claim. However, I find it disturbing when you are googling to argue something you do not understand.
But he understands what sleekness is na, may be more than you. You say Messi and Maradona are not sleek, but see this review by EA sports:

"Game developer EA Sports has announced a new feature to its upcoming football simulation video game “FIFA 16” that had gamers really excited. Apparently, the game will already give players the ability to make the signature sleek move of Argentinian football superstar Lionel Messi."

Flair and sleek are synonymous.

Flair and sleek are synonymous.

A sleek move is like When Milner charged to Messi in one of the Barcelona vs Manchester City game and Messi, stopped waited as Milner charged to him, he said the ball in between Milner's legs. That is a sleek move but that is not regularly how Messi or Maradona play. The play more with pace. Messi plays the ball in a more mobile style.

When you take Mikel for instance, he has come under lots of criticism for playing in a sluggish way. In Nigerian slang, playing with too much yanga. That Messi move was a yanga move but not Messi’s style. Just like Maradona, they play in a more pacy style and take on their players with pace.

Just as Mikel can make runs with the ball, he is not a pacy player. He is sleek. Just as Messi can make a sleek move, he is not a sleek player.

List of sleek players

Mikel, Busquets, Alonso, Scholes, Pirlo, Ibrahimovic, Berbatov and Nzonzi. We can not put Maradona and Messi in that bracket.

Stop using flair and skills to describe the current game of Delph. Delph has cut down on it. When once you get that fact, you will know you are off tangent with my point.

When we talk of a player playing with flair and skills, we are talking of a player playing to the gallery. A good example is Jay-Jay Okocha. Showing the wonderful things he can do with the ball.

A sleek player is like a pretty woman catwalking on the runway. A player playing that way is not playing with flair and tricks. Delph used to play like The earlier but now his style is simplified.

Another good example is that a flair and skillful player tries to do things on his own but a sleeky player is more of a team player.

You can see that there is a big change in Delph's orientation. That is why he said he sees football in a different way.

Oh, so you just cooked it up. If a word sounds interesting to you, you just start using it without caring what it means? Bros, terms in football, like any other profession have definitions. You cannot say you cook up what a dribble is. Or passing. Or goal. All of them have definitions. Same thing applies to the term sleek in football. You cannot use it outside its accepted definition. Else, the whole sport just becomes a disorganized affair.

So after watching football for years, you still need to copy everything without having an idea to explain it yourself. Na wa.

Give me an example of a sleek move.

Wrong move! No matter how many years of watching football, you cannot define a goal outside its accepted definition. Even Infantino cannot unilaterally tell us he has his own meaning of dribbling outside of what the football community knows. Millions of 'Na wa' will not change anything.

Until you can tell me your reference for what a sleek move is or who a sleek player is, you can't ask me to tell you one. We have to be on the same level to start a discussion about it.

Nii Odartey Lamptey to name football academy after late 'mentor' Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi

Nii Odartey Lamprey

Ex-Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey has decided to to name a facility at his football academy after his late mentor Stephen Keshi.
This is to honour the former Super Eagles captain and coach, who died last June, for his contribution to football and for opening his doors and the path to his career.
Lamprey has fond memories of Keshi who helped him find his feet at Belgian side Anderlecht in the early 90s.
In a chat with footballlive.ng, Lamptey revealed he will launch his academy – after the judgement on an ongoing alimony case -in Ghana and will use the occasion to honour Keshi '' my father who got me where I am today.''

Fanendo Adi Becomes All-Time Leading Scorer In Portland Timbers History

Fanendo Adi etched his name into Portland Timbers folklore when he hit target in his team's come-from-behind 3-1 win over Philadelphia Union in a Major League Soccer game at Talen Energy Stadium (Chester, Pennsylvania) on Sunday morning.

Adi's goal in the 88th minute took his tally to 46 goals since his arrival at the Timbers from FC Copenhagen in the summer of 2014, and became the all-time top scorer in the history of the club.

The 26-year-old had shared the record with John Bain, who set the original mark when he played for the Timbers in the old NASL from 1978-82.

Fanendo Adi has found the net five times this season, the second most goals in the American top-flight, along with Diego Valeri and Josef Martinez.

Ex-United States U23 international of Nigerian descent Amobi Okugo entered into the fray in the 82nd minute against the club he represented for four years, 2010-2014.

and you think kelechi is not a hard working player then you need to rethink, all the players you metion where geting the drills plus adequate game time. Did he keep messi, stalin, sane, stones and all those you metion on the bench for 1 month on the name of drilling?

Put things in perspective.

Forget how we may think that KC is the new Messi and be less biased and more objective.

KC is fresh out of the academy literally and does not have the track record, experience and hefty price tag in comparison to Sane and Stones.

In reality he is still a baby in the premiership and also in City. Where all the players around him have pedigree.

I do not think Pep is being biased just ruthlessly efficient and undeniably unsentimental.

In the last 7/8 years tell me one player out of the City academy that has played as many games as KC. He KC has actually done exceptionally well, this is a high pressure top club.

You like going around in circles.

You say player A is sleek and player B is not. I ask how you know a player is sleek and another is not, you say you don't care about generally accepted definition of football terms and that your knowledge is through years of watching football and that you have no outright definition source you can give me deriding Google in the process. When boxed to a corner about register in football, you say other commentators refer to sleek players and that shows you're correct. I say fine, and told you that those commentators regularly say player B is a sleek player. You say they are wrong and that if I watch player B, I cannot say he is a sleek player.

experience and he couldn't cement a place in his parent's club starting. Struggled in BELGIUM. And now struggling in lowly GIJON.
Nigerians love old glory. if not for Nigeria he would have been replaced long.
In Nigeria we respect past form. How about we just field our greats as best IX.

Let's celebrate our heroes well but let's not get things twisted. They already have replacements. we cant be lazy about scouting.
