Hiculis: My sister was shortlisted for the 2014 recruitment process and didn't get the job. Hearts were broken that year. Her connection wasn't strong enough to get the appointment letter. My advice to everyone with connections, continue pressing the button till you get it. As for us way no get connect, our time will come and we too will shine 4 Likes |

If you were shortlisted for interview and you didn't get the job just know that it is your job not that your connection is not strong. 1 Like |

gaetano:Bro, Please don't argue with them. They obviously don't know how recruitment work in Nigeria In 2013/2014 some one close to me was shortlisted for MFA. First class student from UI. His name was announced on state TV channels and he attended the interview but never got the job. Even though he knew someone powerful in Jonathan's government. If you are shortlisted, it doesn't guarantee you will get the job! These rule is meant for all jobs especially FG JOBS in Nigeria. 2 Likes |

gaetano: I just don't know why some people are bend on distracting others to loose hope? Is this Civil Defence recruitment? This is FCSC with presence of its MDAs in every state of the Federation and FCT. Know that this is a massive recruitment of about 10 or so MDAs. I think what we should be doing here is encouraging each others than just cooking stories. It only shows how unhappy some are just because they lost out in the process. Let's give hope to the hopeless. Rejoice with others today as tomorrow will be ur turn. 5 Likes |

Pushas:Spot on bro. Let them be relaxing thinking they've gotten the job. I know i don't have connections in government, cos If I did i would use it well. For those of you that got shortlisted from your small connection, don't relax, just keep pushing. Some well connected folks here will not tell you the truth to increase their chances. So if una like make una relax while una mates still dey push extra button. 1 Like |

wuruwuru1: I never mentioned civil defense. And I never wished anyone bad and neither have i shown jealousy from my statements. I don't understand your accusations o. Just tell yourself the truth., do you think everyone that was shortlisted will eventually get the job? That's the only argument i was making because some people here have already concluded that they are getting it. It's good to be hopeful but we should also be realistic. 6 Likes 1 Share |

lilfreezy:Don't mind them. Nigerians are guilty of this however some people will get this job without knowing anyone. 98 percent of people that will get the job are the highly connected. While 2percent will get the job without knowing anybody. Lesson: Be highly connected or be highly favoured by God. 5 Likes |

Every one should be smart. Don't put all your eggs in FCSC's basket. Try and get employment in other MDAs. For christ sake, most of the Ministries advertised pay just under 60k. While there are other juicy parastatals you can work with e.g NNPC, NPA etc. If you are serious about getting an FG Job. I suggest you relocate to Abuja if possible. |

Piece of advice! If you're awaiting appointment letter or to be shortlisted in Batch B, don't follow some trash you see on this thread cos you will only end up driving urself crazy over and over again. If you've been shortlisted you're getting the job! If you're awaiting Batch B, I wish you the best. There is high level of transparency in this recruitment exercise. Keep your hopes high and know the only thing that disqualifies you is if you were absent from the interview (that one sef no be interview na group discussion) or your course of study is not inline with the position. 4 Likes |

Anyone that says this recruitment is transparent needs a big lens to see the bigger picture. Nothing in Nigeria is ever transparent. Just make sure you are well connected ...Cos getting shortlisted doesn't garantee you the job. Good luck to all awaiting batch b list 2 Likes 1 Share |

stevedestiny:Not Again. I just had to quote this. High level of transparency in this recruitment? Are you fvcking serious? Transparent indeed: Explains why we have relatives and kids of politicians on the list for MFA. Really explains why we have two Tinubus on Lagos MFA's list and Lokpobiri (Minister for State Agriculture) on Bayelsa's MFA's list. This explains why no one was deemed qualified from my political zone in my state. Transparent indeed! 2 Likes |

Onyi101: Let me guess it's either you're on this thread awaiting Batch B or you're just here to discourage. I will get a lens when I need one and I obviously don't. But I'm yet to figure out what you're really driving at 1 Like |

stevedestiny: Someone is here pointing out the obvious and you are saying he is discouraging others. What's the worst possible things that would happen if the rest of us don't get the fcsc job. You area making it sound like it's the only job in Nigeria. Boi, be realistic for once 4 Likes |
Re: Federal Civil Service 2016 Recruitment by stevedestiny(m): 1:45pm On Apr 09, 2017 |
Pushas: Alright I will explain. I was once doubting why some states were left out for some positions and I got the answer when I went for the interview. The reason is they didn't allocate all slots and all positions to all states. Eg My zone has slots for auditor and some zones don't and vice versa. I was told that those who applied to alot of positions had the higher chance of been shortlisted. I won't argue about what I don't know (the Tinubus). 1 Like |

gaetano: Bro this isn't even in the bracket of the best jobs in Nigeria (far from it). There are far better jobs just that some people like you and some others who think they are being realistic needs to be saved from themselves to know everything is possible. C'mmon!! Y'all should stop all these connection nonsense! and allow those in anticipation of been shortlisted to have a little glimpse of hope. (Some people think them get connection last last na people wey no sabi anybody go still get d job) I'm out jare! 1 Like |

stevedestiny: You made some statement which seem to bug me. I don't understand this country any longer. You said some position were not allocated to some region, me i seriously want to know why some people in a particular region are better suited for a particular position. If they really did that then why didn't they tell us all during the application process instead to save us heartbreak. I've really been through a lot in this country and if given the chance i would gladly denounce being a Nigerian cos there is nothing I've ever gained being Nigerian.
