Etherium is also going the direction of bitcoin...difficulty increasing and value fluctuating up and down. The majority miners go for the lowest in value at the moment and wait for years. Smart miners check for growing coins and gamble positively. Zcash and monero and the best coins to mine for now but if you have the resources, go straight to the big coins.
