Hello House,

I'm trying to design a "three-in-one" lock up store structure for the front side of my 120 by 60 piece of land in Ikorodu.

Beside the structure will be a standard entrance gate for cars and a pedestrian gate.

This structure is meant to be an improvement on a recent construction by one of our Nairaland Engineers (See picture attached).

The setback of the plot of land already has a four bedroom building yet to be put to use.

Please assist with 3D versions of the picture and a floor plan showing dimensions.

5) 3 feet space between main entrance and steel gates

My bad, it's just sad that these requirements were not issued out on due time while the brief was issued out as well.
That won't be a problem for us though because we'll go back to the drawing board with these new requirements in mind and draft out a piece of Art specially for you. We'll get back to you soonest once it's ready.

Boss this is your thread and it is your right to ask for advice from architects out here. There is nothing wrong with seeking professional advice.

However, any professional who reads your brief carefully will wonder what you intend to achieve with it. Do you intentionally wish to deride architecture and Nigerian architects?

What do you want to achieve by sampling different professional opinion on the same brief, and with dimension and specifications?

I just hope you and other non architects who engage in this are aware that this is against practice rules and regulations?

It would have been understandable if you had put your request this way;

"I have this size of land and available setback,
I wish to erect something like this on it,
These are the dimensions I'm looking at,
These are my specifications,
What do you guys think?"

The response you get will then be used to select a person who you feel will best give you result. There is hunger in the land but Nigerians need to stop insulting architects.
