Hi everybody i saw this on DAAD brochure below,please i need someone to translate it to me because the "March" there is confusing....Can i still apply for the program?........I also want to know if a Bsc holder in physics is eligible to apply for Tropical Hydrogeology and Environmental Engineering

deadline:
March of the year in which the student wants to start her/his studies
For DAAD applicants:
15 October at the university.
Deadline refers to the year before students intend to start the
programme.

What exactly is wrong with DHL? Guess people should start going for Fedex maybe? The embassy itself delays people enough, why are they adding theirs!!

The course is part of DAAD EPOS scholarship....for applicants applying through the scholarship.there applications have to get in before march, but self financed applicants you have till may i guess for applications deadline

I'm trying to get sponsorship letter and my uncle said that he went to the Foreign office in Bremen, Germany and they said that i will have to open 8000 euro blocked account .
Abeg, what do i do cos i dont understand why that is.

Once your passport has passed one week with the embassy, know that you either give DHL authorization letter to pick it or you go to the Embassy by urself.
does one need to book an appointment to pick it up at the embassy?

You pay 75EURO for the First school and 15EURO for subsequent schools...

Hello guys, how long will it take the embassy to acknowledge blocked account confirmation?

I first sent it to info @ lago . diplo . de on Monday last week (03/04) and I sent the same to rk-visa11 @.... on Tuesday. Neither of the mails was acknowledged.

I called the front desk on Thursday and I was told to resend the confirmation which I did on the same day but no acknowledgment has been sent till this moment.

Hi, I guess your uncles income is not high enough to cover for you. They will look at your uncles income and also check how many people are living with him (wife, kids). Then they calculate everything together. If your uncle has to support many people it won't be enough to pay for your support as well according to German law. That's why you have to get the money yourself, no sponsorship. Sorry

Got some questions.
a. what's the purpose of opening a fintiba acct?? would it mean you won't have to show the bank statement at the embassy or what?
b. if the sponsor is a Nigerian n in Nigeria can his bank statement cover the block acct if its more than 9000euros or would i need to present the 9000euros in block acct?

1: Needed to show/proof the embassy u can sustain yourself through-out your study
2: No, sponsor should be based/working in germany, with german account earning 1k5 EUROs and above per month with if possible no dependants (if there are, they will confirm to see if after sorting dependants, how much will be left to sort you)

My advice and from other people's story/testimony, the best is to get a block account if you can afford it.

I stand to be corrected by the GURUs in here.

This one everyone is talking about block accounts and embassy, have you all be granted admission? Or u are just applying for visa in advance. Share some light please

Guys, good morning. Apart from my flight ticket and passport, is there any other document I will need to present when traveling at the airport. Someone was telling me something like a yellow card or vaccination card. I don't know about that one.

You don't need a yellow card, as far as I know

Lol....... You're really funny, you can't apply for visa in advance without having being granted an admission. Except you're going for visit visa, reunion, etc.

There is something on student applicant visa i saw on Daad. Like u apply even when u haven't yet received a notice of admission. So i thought that was what majority were doing.
