Few questions please....any doctors in the house or @vcole.

Been trying to get my eca done for my medical degree via Mcc and it's taking very long. However i have a masters degree and have already done eca for that. My clb was 10 and my crs score with the Msc degree is 447. I am worried that while waiting for my school to reply the svr my next birthday would reach and points would drop. I have already missed several Itas because i was waiting for the svr.

So question is would my Msc degree be okay to use? I have 2 years experience in noc 0311(hospital manager) and then almost 8 years as physician (3112)

Has anyone gone through this route Before? Thank you
You can use your MSc and also use Noc 3112.
Contact your sch and have them send the documents to MCC. Your sch may be waiting for you to send them the processing fees

Hello great people, so my IELTS score just got in L 8.5 R 7.5 W 7.0 S 8.0. I am very shocked by the Reading score as I thought I had aced it and was going to get a perfect 9. Writing is a different ballgame, in hindsight I noticed I didn't complete all the tasks as I didn't describe my apartment which was one of the three requirements of the writing task. However, I think 7 is too low for the essay I wrote.

I want to apply for a remark of the Reading and Writing parts. I know chances of getting a higher band in Reading is slim, since it's majorly objective type answers. I'm almost certain, I can get something higher in Writing. However, all I can get from all that trouble given perfect IELTS scores is an additional 6 CRS points. That will move me from 419 to 425(turns out being in your 30's isn't such a good thing grin).

Given all these facts, do you guys think I should petition for a remark? Should I just suck it up and rewrite or just wait and hope CRS scores fall to 419 and below?

Hi please can u assist with the materials used, I have mine next week and will be very appreciative if u can assist.

HI team,

I promised to give update when my results come out, my story is:

took IELTS results were LSRW 8.5,7.5,7,6 and had to take it again

New result LSRW 8.5,7.5,7,7 i guess this is good if the draws remain low. i have masters and 33 years. my spouse's IELTS result has not been received. However, if my spouse's result is LSRW 7,7,7,6, without ECA for my spouse's masters, CRS should be 444.

Any tit bits from the house on how to proceed? I intend entering the pool with what we have since bday is in July.

Your thoughts please.

thanks

Same IELTS score, most of our details r d same. Enter the pool sharp sharp, the water don dey dry. Last crs was 431 so u stand a chance of getting ITA next draw. If not just do ECA for spouse's MSc.

My People Post ITA,

How is NYSC period treated;

1. Work history or Personal history?
2. employment, educational activity or government?

your advice would be highly appreciated.

NYSC is treated as employment and sits under personal history if and only if you are not claiming employment points for the time spent doing the NYSC. However, if you are claiming employment points for NYSC, then you have to move it to work history and please note that you will be required to provide a reference letter from your employer.

All the best!

You don't have to include your university transcripts. All you need to upload (as a single merged document) is your MSc + BSc + IELTS result + WES evaluation report.

All the best!

Hi Guys,

I have a sister who currently resides in canada. One of the documents(aside PR card and birth certificate) to be submitted when ITA is received is a document from my sister to prove that she resides in Canada. Here's an excerpt from the cic site:

- Evidence that the family member currently resides in Canada must be provided (a residential lease, mortgage documents, utility bills, etc.).
The documents should be up to date as of six months prior to submission.

Now, I asked my sister for utility bill and she says she doesn't have one. She says she has a phone bill though.

My question is, is the phone bill a sufficient document to show as proof of residence in Canada? Will CIC accept it?

Is it compulsory that we merge into one single document. Can we upload them one file at a time?If i upload it one file at a time will that be a problem?

Yes it will be a problem because you have just one upload under that section. So, you have to merge all the related documents into a single file.

If you upload one document after the other, each subsequent document uploaded will replace the previous one that was uploaded , which means only the last uploaded document will be visible to the visa officers
The only option is to merge multiple document e.g WES,degree certificate and IELTS as one file and upload in the corresponding placeholder

Yes, phone bill is a sufficient proof of residence as far as it shows her full name and address. I would suggest you get at least 2 most recent phone bills of hers.

Is there a file size limit that cannot be exceeded when uploading documents? If so, what's the file size limit?

You can paste/insert the jpeg images into a word doc (ms word) and then save as a pdf file. This tends to produce small size and very clear pdf docs and will come in very handy for your POF and passport/travel history too.
That's what I used for my application.

Yes, you can use treasury bills or fixed deposit certificate. You might still need to attach your bank statement to show the source of the funds especially if the start date for the investment is less than 6 months ago.
