It wasn't stolen by any organization,it was a collective theft.what system are you talking about,Nigeria porous financial management.do you know that NNPC does not give the government accurate figures from oil sales.

Technically,Magu can decline to appear because the Senate rejected his appointment(meaning he is no longer recognized for the office and his appointment has been terminated),afterall,you cannot reject a person's appointment and then demand that he represent the institution you just sacked him from.
Anyway,I think its good that they want to investigate and hopefully come out with a favorable resolution; but it shouldnt be turned into an avenue for pointless power play and muscle flexing.

you are right, but govt is continuity.
And that is the reason they invited mugu to do the investigation.
The head of the agencies involve can better explain to us, if the money is in nnpc acc or in cbn acc, or ineffectual buffoon and his gang acc.

Is either you read this article upside dawn or you didnt understand. The report says oil proceeds from 2009, 2011 & 2014 and u are here blaming the current government.

They totally loot dis country to the last end, I always remember dis our former minister (okojoewela) article she wrote abt Nigeria economy like past 5yrs, and our present emir of Kano (sanusi), all their prediction abt Nigeria now coming true and we re now blaming present govt. Even if Jesus or muh'd come to rule Nigeria dis tym, we will experience dsame tins, let us stop deceiving ourselves, nd face reality.

Namdas had quoted reports that over 57 million barrels of crude oil were illegally exported and sold in the U.S. between January 2011 and December 2014.

He said that the estimated revenue loss by the government of Nigeria “is around 12 billion dollars.

“The same organisation alleged that the sum of 5.9 billion dollars of the federation accounts were lost to offshore processing agreements and through crude theft in the country.

Do they want to recover the stolen money which will be stolen back by them again? What of Deziani Madueke? Why is she not in the pix? Why can't they bring her back to this country to answer question?

When they recover all these money they are mentioning now, won't some of the recovered money be stolen among themselves?

In fact, I want to know who is clean among those who want to recover the money? I have never seen in the history of this country where recovered money have been declared open and used for the benefit of the populace.

After this probe, can they show us the money live? Nonsense. When they need Allowance, they will set up a probe panel.

Not only that, but the but heads of the International oil multinationals involved in the crime, the US ambassador, past and present heads of NNPC and Ports authority are the only people that needs to be summoned.

These clowns in NAss are probably digging for information on behalf of the corrupt criminal IOCs that stole the oil.

In any case shouldn't this matter be a police and EFCC matter pure and simple?

Weather he is acting or not confirmed , he is answerable to Nigerian people , therefore the senate has right to invite him and he must answer.

Common sense would dictate that, when there is undeclared Oil funds, any investigation into this must include the Minister of Petroleum - PMB.
