First of all...i never said God exist not...i believe in his existence!

With the recent happenings and cases of old,something is quit similar...God can favour someone and lift him above his peers...it has nothing to do with ur personal belief sometimes...

What that scripture is saying in essence is that GOD gives HIS grace to the humble who acknowledges HIM. Not the proud and boastful who believe in their own effort.

You must understand that HE knows us, even our capabilities and what the inclinations of our hearts would be like even while we were in the womb.

GOD made a decision on Esau according to who Esau actually was. Esau treated his birthright with contempt by selling it to HIS younger brother. GOD's judgment on Esau was prophetic.

Now, Judas was a thief who was stealing from the common purse of our LORD JESUS CHRIST and HIS apostles. Talk about one with a twisted heart. And HE eventually, premeditatedly sold his MASTER for money. Peter on the other hand received mercy because his heart failed him, fear got the better of him. His spirit was willing but his flesh was weak. He was so zealous and passionate for the LORD that he would even have died in CHRIST's place. HE dearly loved CHRIST. Same thing applied to David. He loved GOD and was zealous. While Saul was a persistent sinner, David was after GOD's heart. And David never escaped GOD's judgment when he committed adultery and murder. But GOD knew he was a good man and spared him from death. But GOD dealt severely with him.

You must realise that GOD is stricter when judging HIS own than when judging the unbelieving sinner. Did it surprise you how Judas received condemnation but the thief on the cross with JESUS received pardon and was with CHRIST after death?

Those who have been given the grace of repentance and salvation are held to account more than those who are unbelieving sinners.

Consider Luke 12: 47-48
