Ishilove: Young or not, for someone who has supposedly read a lot of books, and is being accused of having a high pinocchio rating, u cross check whatever stuff u're posting into public space! There's actually a book called The Odyssey File! U should know, I had to actually google d old skul Grisham I missed, I find his current works ......! ashjay001:Lol. Mr Correcter, it's Odessa Files, not Odyssey File. Cross check fire. I took that from the deepest crevices of old memory. If I was concerned about factual correctness in a thread meant to educate I will cross check what I post, but no, this thread is all about nostalgia so I will lay it out as I remember it! I remembered it as 'Odyssey Files: Grisham', and that's what I posted. Pinnochio ko, Pinheiro ni |

Ishilove: Reader of books na ni! So, arrogant! U've read a lot, but u're probably one of those who read without trying to improve their lives with wat dey read! Someone told u, there is a book called 'd Odyssey file'! And instead of googling before reacting, u're trying to masturbatee all over my head! Enjoy! Abeg no vex! Lets just continue ignoring each other! Afterall, inspite of all Trump's high pinocchio ratings, him still end up as leader of d last acknowledged world power! If 30+yrs was deepest crevices of memory, wetin 50 yrs go be? |

Ishilove: actually, its the Odessa File not files i seem to remember we had that book at home as well. some idealistic young man/ journalist dipping his foot in nazi hunter things. plus devils alternative [my first forsyth book] h.rider haggard [solomons mines, she allan quatermain] george orwell [animal farm, 1984, keep the aspidistra flying , a clergy mans daughter, burmese days , coming up for air]. its sad. i have not bought books the way my dad did . in fact, at one point i actually disposed of six cartons of novels and CDs. [if i have electronic versions, whats the point?] but i havent really picked up reading o devices. my son turns ten this year, and he is nowhere near as well read as i was at his age |

oyb:Na wa o, see as the title is causing confusion everywhere. I vaguely remember the Devil's Alternative but I can't remember the plot because I read it in my pre-teen years. Well, you can't blame your boy because quite frankly, we are in an era where books are becoming fossils. Your time ('early 50s and 60s ) is radically different from what obtains now. |

Ishilove: nooo . . . i blame myself all this 9 to 5ing and hustling cuts into time for the things that matter most Your time ('early 50s and 60s ) is radically different from what obtains now i know i know - i miss those halycon days when women knew their place and did not talk back. not today with all these 'liberated women' arguing and flirting with their ogas on this internet thingy |

I dont beliv him ooo. |
