I am presently trying to complete my post ITA application. I have enough money for the proof of fund but the problem is all the money is in my accompanying spouse name. Will this be acceptable to CIC? Is it compulsory for the funds to be in the principal applicant's account? Please has anyone faced similar situation and succeeded? Please gurus in the house help a brother, I am confused.

My score is 424 without hubby's ECA and Language test. I hope I get ITA today. Praying fervently for this.

Just ditch the OINP once you get ITA via EE. Because even after you get the additional 600 points from your PNP, you will still be in the EE pool & have to wait for the next draw to be picked. The end goal is to get ITA ....so grab the one that comes 1st...I will go for the ITA via EE if I were in your shoes.

Hi caon... I see someone has responded. No it's not a separate entry. It's through the EE pool but you must have up to 400 to qualify.
I don't know much about it but will read up and ask questions if need be.

Yes PNPs are issued seperately , however for most you have to be in the pool . Qubec a french speaking province doesn't need you to be in the EE pool . The only province giving nominations now is Ontario and you need 400 points and above .When other provinces start people will post it here . Also check out Superchi posts , he got nominations from one province although he's no longer active. Put superchi on the search button and all his post wil show .

Hello Everyone, congrats to those that got an ITA early this morning.
I need urgent advise please. I have a current loan on my salary account, it's not from the bank that holds my salary account but from another bank. It has nothing to do with my funds for the Canadian Application. Do I need to get a letter from the bank that gave me loan saying that I have a loan, amount and what it was for? The Loan will be fully paid in 8 months.the offer letter for the loan already states what it was for. But I'm looking at the period of repayment, and I don't know if this will affect my application to CIC. Is it advisable I look for money from somewhere and repay the whole loan before I submit my application and get a letter of non- indebtedness from the institution or what should I do? Has anyone been in this situation before and what did you do please?

NYSC is employment - that's a fact. You include it either (1) under personal history if and only if you are NOT claiming CRS points for it (2) under work experience if and only if you are claiming points for it and you are sure you will get an employment reference from the NYSC employer.

Quick question.....is it a problem if one of the companies you worked for was family owned? E.g.. I worked in my mum's clinic for over 2 years.....wil cic see it as an issue? Cos our last names will be same.

Yes you need a minimum of one year full time job . To get maximum points you need 3years work experience
