Yes it is. But in my own opinion that is not cost effective as people think it is. You still get to pay yearly insurance and only elongates your undergraduate study length. i.e staying up to 6-7yrs instead of 4 or 5yrs. But let me not discourage you, it is possible!
Haba isn't it normal to transfer from a university to a community college,after like two years you then can transfer to a four year college to complete the final two years. What's with d extra years u implying??

As a US citizen or PR, you can do whatever you want. As an international student, you can't. Remember, you have to be actively enrolled in a school full time to maintain your status. You can't simply crisscross from school to school as you please.

Congrats and absolutely true. The quality of Your school and the fact that you got a partial scholarship is very strong evidence that you are a genuine student. It's much harder to deny people like you unless fraud was detected.

Please house..i want to apply for master degree program physician assistant in u.s.a, my problem is going through their website they have some prerequisites courses i should retake before applying since its almost 10years i left university..please some of you already in school in u.s.a..do i need to spend a year or more to get these prerequisites courses done ..i tried to contact theschools but they couldn't tell me how long it ll take to get those prerequisites like anatomy..3 credits physiology..3credits, chemistry with lab e.t.c....please anybody with any idea pls help

Give it at least a year... Here, they don't recommend you take all science courses in one semester. Courses like anatomy and physiology 1&2, chemistry, microbiology and sometimes nutrition. You have to space them in two semesters and add some non-science prerequisite courses to them to make it 12 hours. And mind you, all the courses I listed are 'with lab', hence 4 units.

You might be exempted you took the courses in the last ten years...

If she is not married then she should never claim married...it adds no value as loads of single people at that age are given visa And frankly it would be telling a lie

Advice your brother here please...

Profile:
GPA 3.29/4.00
Electrical Engineering
GRE: 277
TOEFL: waived
proposed study: MA in Energy science.
Admission granted for Fall 2017: University of South Florida ,Tampa, FL (actually applied to five schools, others are yet to respond)

Now my question: Do you think my GRE will be an obstacle during my Visa Interview, irrespective of the fact that i already got the admission?

shocked
Well, you got the admission anyway. You can only hope the VO don't ask about your GRE score. Also, did you get any kind of financial aid?

Biggy911:

Financial aid is yet to be announced (RA, TA) am following up with the prof in charge.
I guessed i was admitted becos GRE no dey required for the course.

Please advice further.

Following the visa transcripts I ve seen on here, GRE is not asked for all the time. It depends on your conversation with the VO and it goes. If you had reported your GRE score way before your application for admission, I'm sure a lot of us would recommend for you to re-write. You can only proceed with the process at this point since you already got your admission.

Focus more on the preparation for your interview; you might be asked for GRE or not, but if your are asked, just be honest. All in all, be honest with the VO, they are human beings too and they understands situations as well.

Don't forget, its all about your composure and conversation with the VO. Even people who didn't write tests do get visa if you present your case well. Honesty is the watch word

I wish you all the very best!

Getting a partial scholarship has nothing to do with your visa chances. If asked about sponsorship, you should explain how the remainder would be funded. Your visa chances lies on how the conversation goes with the VO. A genuine student would have prepared well for educational expenses. Some people got zero scholarship and still got their visa because they proved to the VO they are capable of funding their studies. Honesty is the watchword.

I wish you all the best!

Hello Great guru's in the house.. please i have a big question that has been bordering me and i need urgent response please guys. Have received my admission letter and i-20. But i didn't write any exam like TOFEL or SAT but i did well English in my O' level result and the school didn't ask for any of those and i also saw this on the school website:-

ETSU is no longer requiring SAT or ACT scores for admission from international students who complete secondary education outside of the United States.   ETSU strongly advises that students who take the SAT or ACT request scores to be sent to ETSU in the event that the students want to apply for scholarships.  Students who do not submit official SAT or ACT scores to ETSU will be required to take the COMPASS test upon arriving on campus.  The COMPASS test results determine placement in university level courses. Submitting SAT or ACT scores would eliminate the requirement to test upon arrival at ETSU.

ACT/SAT scores may be recommended or required if:

·   the applicant is applying for competitive scholarships;
·   the applicant is applying for admission into a specific program;
·  the applicant believes test scores provide further evidence of academic ability; or
·  the applicant is a prospective student-athlete.
Information about programs that require ACT/SAT scores is available on the websites that describe the program.

Now my big question is? What will i tell the VO if am been ask Did you write any Exam..?

Please kindly advice me on what to say @ Lagosismyhome, Fedoricko, happyday Walspring.
