This would have been a good opportunity for efcc to show its "anti-corruption war" transcends party lines and it's fair.

Anybody that has eaten yam should start searching for emetic drugs cos they must vomit the yams. Online comments won't save anyone when Magu come knocking.

Long live The Fed Rep of Nigeria.

I wanted to take you on, but I saw sentiments and emotions in your post. You have a nice day.

One advice. Stick with the truth, if we are going to have democracy, the presidency will change, the legislature will have it's occupants changed, Magu will also not be there for ever. If you destroy the legislature, you'll someday have an executive, you don't like. Be very careful.

What silence are you talking about? EFCC have applied to the court for an order of forfeiture and the court has granted a temporary order. The real owner of the money now has 14 days to come out and claim the money or forget about it forever. EFCC no longer needs to look for the owner.
so is tgis how you want efcc to work. injust seize the money and that is all. something is not right. nigerians wake up. the apartment must be rented or bought by somebody. if a name does not show up for the apartment just know this government is taking nigerians for ride. the money was not found on 3rd mainlaind bridge. so make efcc dey deceive themseve the fast to seize money. we want to know the owner.. big lies everwhre.

the good thing ,really good thing is that nobody owns the money and the money is temporarily forfeited to the government.who then needs to know the owner since the money is now in the common purse?.cant we find jobs to do if we are indeed jobless.

No sir, that is not enough.
we want the EFCC to make arrest.

1) Are EFCC saying the whistle blower did not give hint
of the owner of that money?

2) Muazu has accepted ownership of the building but that because he
could not repay the GTBank loan, the bank took over the building from him.

3) How long should it take the EFCC to contact GTBank, Estate Agent and the
lawyer to ascertain the true owner of those apartments?

Someone is trying to be clever by half.
The said house is registered, and the Estate Agent is well-known.Mu'azu has admitted building the house, And GtBank taking over when he could not repay the loan, hence,I do not think that ascertaining who owns the flat is a problem.
For those abusing Lere there,he has his own share of madness but come to think of it,he hasn't been proven wrong and some people are already taking him to the gallows.
Someone advised Amaechi to sue him, what about SR that have allegedly indict 3 different people ,have they been sued?
What about the other one that called a Former President of the country,an armed robber, where does that happen?
Hence, the problem with Nigeria is that we add too much emotions, too much politics, too much he is my brother,he is my party.Things will never work that way.Has it been confirmed if Mo Abudu bought the house?Saner climes would have called up mu'azu, the developers, herself, amaechi, lere,GTBank and whoever is involved to throw more light on these claims.
We are all involved in the media trial mess,no convictions, just recovery, examples should be shown,so that others will run as far as their legs can carry.
Shalom,Happy Easter.

Thank you, bros

the owner of the house should be able to provide answer to the question of who owns the money. if police find gun for ur house, will you start saying its not your own? how did it get there?

There is something quite suspicious about this discovery. What if some of these cash were planted and staged?
The report said they found £23,000. Looking at the pic, I believe the pounds sterling in the pic is more than £23,000. The three bundles on top alone are £15,000 and the stash under are more.

There should be more than £750,000 in that pix except someone is playing with Nigerians or they posted a wrong photo. Each of those wrapped bundles is worth £50,000 and there are more than 15 there.

The owner of the building can deny ownership of the money. With yesterday's order, the onus is now on the owner to come forward and claim the money and not for EFCC to go about looking for the owner.

Dont get it twisted, the building was developed & sold flat by flat. the building consist of more than one flat, the developdr said that estate manager has already sold the building in flats to intrested buyers which means the building was no longer his. EFCC needs to question the estate agent to reveal the identity of who bought the flat in question

Stop exposing so much ignorance.
Most Nigerians that rents such apartments don't normally live in there as they have big mansions they live elsewhere. They use such flats for mostly clandestine activities such as safe houses, secret meetings, sex rendezvous place and guest houses.
You will mostly see expatriates and foreigners living as full time occupiers, that is why it look like in most instances the apartments are 80% unoccupied and developers are still building more.
