Hello everyone.

I recently loaded the chinese custom rom that 4peace posted here and I noticed there is no option for 3G only and this is a deal breaker for me. So I want to know if there is any other available custom roms that have been confirmed working seamlessly. Also is it possible to get marshmallow or nougat on M5?

U can use MTK engineering mode start to put your phone on 3G only.

So what else did u find out abt the Chinese rom?

the only thing I have noticed is that it boots faster. Asides that I dont get what the big deal is about it. There's also a lot of areas in chinese. For example if you enter your bootloader, everything there is in chinese. I wish I could get my hands on twrp indian rom version cuz I am having issues using sp flash tools.

In fact if we are not over hyping the Phone it shouldn't even beg for Nougat 7.0 also.

But curse on Gionee, New device, New OS, no upgrade for Old devices. Sales and Profit is the goal not Customer satisfaction and Digital Security.

But the way am viewing it, its Gionee Nigeria that should carry this blame, its Just a company that orders Gionee specifications for Nigeria and sell. Thats all.
No after sale services, security patches, upgrades.
Because Gionee China does all these.
